Nobody is that stupid. If any team was willing to trade a first, or even a second, for Darnold, he would already be a former Jet. It is very hard to find any positives about Darnold, unless you love interceptions and fumbles. 39 INTs and 20 fumbles in 38 games. Holy smokes! Blaming that on Gase is lazy, IMO. The QB has shown what he is. Three seasons of awful play is sufficient evidence for me that the guy can't successfully play quarterback in the NFL. That is not a small sample size, and the results are clear. The Jets want to be rid of him, for Pete's sake. Why bail them out? And having a turnover machine as our QB would be the last thing a team with a defense like ours needs. Why screw up our shot? I only pray that RR's desire for an experienced QB doesn't cloud his vision on just how poor that QB's experience has been.

By the way, what is the valid argument that favors trading for Darnold? I certainly haven't seen one. He was overrated by the media talking heads coming out of USC. His being a former #3 overall pick is NOT a valid argument. He has proven that conclusively.
