Doesn't this situation sound familiar? A new coach handcuffed by the owner's dumb move at QB?

He really was man because I did not get into football until I was in the 7th grade, i had almost no interest in it as a young kid. Jeff George was one of the guys who introduced me to the sport, through hearing about his exploits through a good friend of mine. So he was one of the first players I "knew". So as I grew to love football so much, I think nostalgia has put some blinders on me about George. I even have an Oakland Raiders #3 George jersey that my friend gave me. I know his career in the NFL for the most part was a flop. In hindsight he was too talented to be a backup QB, but not good enough to be a dependable starter, IMO. There were times in his career where he was good enough to make you wonder.
