I just can't bring myself to believe that was the case. I just think that Bill O'Brien is a horrible GM because that deal was atrocious by any standard. The fact that he took on a huge salary/cap obligation for a fading RB who just had a bad season makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Now, he has just made
another horrible deal with LAR for an overpaid WR with a poor injury history and inconsistent production instead or using that 2nd Round pick on a younger, cheaper WR in a deep WR class.
The problem is Bill O'Brien and not any circumstances that were imposed on him. He simply SUCKS as a GM.
