I dont know how hard he was pushing .. we kinda did the same thing with Dunbar (although several tiers below Hopkins so you can move a malcontent like Dunbar without getting push back)
Kinda like cutting your nose off despite your face. Yes you didnt want discord growing from Hopkins but just moving for a 2nd ... you caused more discord by moving him vs keeping him and dealing with whatever headache may arise.
Trents situation is the outlier ... and you see what can happen if you dont move a disgruntled talent.
You end up paying him half his salary anyway, he plays zero downs for you, he gets 1 year older and less valuable ... and there is the periodic agent comment or leak meant to make your organization look incompetent.

I don't necessarily think trading him was the issue, it was the shitty ass return. Cardinals stole a top 5 NFL receiver. C'mon Bill! Get it together. I want the Texans to be good. Be the best team in Texas.
