Re: Medical/Recreational Marijuana thread
I noticed around early 90s "kind bud" started to make its way on the scene. Kind bud was the good expensive stinky stuff at $50 for 3.5 gs vs $20 for brick weed. What you are smelling is called "terpenes" and its the oil in weed that gives it its various smells (citrusy, fruity, earthy, skunky, poop, etc).
Nowadays, its crazy how technical and scientific it gets. The growers can can cross strain and hybrid .. they can extract the terpenes then put them back in for oils catridges. I get stats on the weed I buy. Terpenes are the second stat listed as percentage after the THC percent.
If you dont want the smell, ask your neighbors to vape. Under MD law I dont think I can do it outside even if Im in my own back yard. With the pens and oils, I could smoke on a low temp setting in the same car as you and you probably wouldnt smell it.
When did it change? The good stinky stuff has always been around but just not readily available and cheap like it is now.
