That being said The Jags defense is rated very high this season so when Gus does have talent he can do a little something something. Barry has never had that chance. Each defense he over saw had a litany of jabronis that were out of the leauge in year. When he was The Chargers LB coach his unit was the strength of the D and his players spoke very highly of him.

I definitely don't think Barry was dealt a great hand in personnel this year, but this kind of overlooks the fact that we're a worse defense this year by all measures despite adding Josh Norman and changing very little else.
We're allowing more 3rd down conversions this year than we did last year. The conversion rate we're allowing on 3rd downs is among the worst rates in league history, let alone worst in the NFL this year.
It wasn't that bad last year, so why'd it get worse? Good coaches make at least a little bit of lemonade out of lemons. I just can't point to an area where Barry has made an improvement year over year, it's just not happening.
