I know a lot is made of how the current refs are from other jobs, even lauded most of the time. But at this point, with it impacting the play on the field, it really needs to be the only thing they do. OR the NFL needs to cut the rule book in half and just "let the players play", but they aren't going to do that.

I'm sure it's a Ref Union thing too, because the NFL can't just switch to full time ref's if they want too, they have to get the union to go along, and that probably involves "painful" give and take from the NFL.

Whatever the reasons against it, the NFL needs to make getting full-time officials a priority.
