Re: What are the expectations for your Washington Redskins 2016-2017 season?

I am more optimistic, 11-5, including a W over the Steelers this Monday night.

I feel with Cousins's makeup the last thing I have to worry about is a regression. He will continue to be protected well enough, be prepared enough, and be accurate enough to get the ball to Reed, Jackson, Crowder and Garçon.

I am most excited about all the reports on the play of Preston Smith and Bashaud Breeland, especially Breeland, because a one two punch at CB means stalled drives as Kerrigan and Smith will have the extra beat to get home.

And nobody talked about it, but I watched Brandon Scherff closely in the preseason. I saw him get second level consistently. I think Gruden and McVay know what they have there and they'll start running behind him a lot. That's so key, because until now the only side to run when you HAD to get the yards was behind Trent. Now defenses can't key on one side, Scherff is a huge threat.

I definitely see a step forward. 11-5!
