This year Pot Roast is the 18th highest paid DT/NT in the league...reasonable. McC told him if he shows results he will pay him...this year started slow, but he has been great the second half of the year. I def think add a weight clause, work out bonus and game/snap incentive could be smart, but I don't think a massive salary bump is coming...but if we gave him a raise to 6.0 to 6.5 million per on a 2-3 year deal it works in our favor. NT/DT are really hard to find |
I think people are overestimating the value of a 2 down player with Knighton. Where was the big $ offer for him last year? It never happened and he came here on a reasonable deal, which he will likely have to take again next year.
