John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East

ESPN's John Clayton has picked the Redskins to win the NFC East. He largely bases this prediction on the NFC East's remaining strength of schedules. Discuss here. |
Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
I love hearing his comments about the Eagles. How sweet would it be if they got knocked out of contention in the next 3 weeks. I knew Clayton and his mouth foam were good for something.

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
I've always thought Clayton was a closet 'skins fan. Even in our previous dismal seasons he really seemed to stick up for us. Either way, I hope hes right!

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
I just hope he is right about everything. I would love to see us win the division and both the cowgirls and eagulls miss the playoffs entirely!!

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
why is clayton always picking us?? I don't value his opinion after a while. Now if pasta belli said we were gonna win the division i would say it actually meant something. THis means as much as SI saying we would be the only team from our division not to go to the playoffs

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
clayton's just a football nerd, i'd say he's probably one of the least biased analysts, though he can be annoying to watch.
i think he was one of the few to say the skins had a shot in the offseason, most of the analysts decided we were 4-12 to 6-10 fare... |
Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
Not two weeks ago, most of the smart money picked the Skins as the Least of the East. :Flush:
Football isn't played on paper. It's played on television. Go get 'em, Skins. Hail! |
Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
I certainly hope he's right. If so, it's going to be a dramatic turnabout for the team from a year ago. Actually, we can probably say that right now.

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
The guy's a geek, but he doesn't seem to consider himself bigger than what he covers. That alone deserves respect when viewed in comparison with the Peter Kings, Dr. Z's and Pasquarelli...

I'm sorry to hear that you actually put any stock in what Pasta Belly says. It's a shame really. |
Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
Clayton knows football, geek or not. I think he's right, though. Skins can win this game against the Bucs and beat the Chargers at home. It's a long flight from San Diego for a 1pm kickoff (10am PST).

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
I read that....I can see that....or last 3 games or against Division foes and 2 out 3 is at home....I can see that

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
I think a big factor so far is that we are the only team to win a division game on the road. Hopefully we can beat the cowboys and giants at home near the end of the year. [Begin winning rant] Shit, I would love the wild-card, but i want to win the division!!! I want it all for our burgundy gold. [End winning rant]

Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
People can say anything. And they do.
Doesn't make a difference come Sunday. I hope Clayton is right. Let's hope Joey T is right! But honestly let's take it humbly and 1 game at a time. Predictions are for TV, reality gives great pain and great joy. |
Re: John Clayton picks Skins to win the NFC East
Hey, the schedule does look in favor for us. And just keep winning the home games. Visions of '99. WIN this division! :biggthump
