Travelling - Real ID

I have never had a passport. Didn't need one when I went to Mexico back in my younger days and haven't travelled any where else internationally since then.

If you have a passport, I'd still put a rush on getting this new Real ID Card, but if you don't have one, I'd really put a rush on it (I fit here). I'm sure this will get delayed a few months eventually, but as of now, you need this new ID to fly effective 10/1/2020. I only get to see my extended family at Christmas time, so this is a big deal for me. And don't want to wait until the last second to get this. Not sure exactly when I'll do it, but definitely plan on doing it within the next month or 2.

Are you talking about the New "real ID driver License", with the star in the upper corner?

I think that's exactly what he's referring to G1. I went ahead and got it last year because I travel a lot and the longer you wait the longer the line to do it at the DMV is gonna be.

I too think they're gonna keep delaying it but I just wanted to get it over with otherwise I'd wait until the last minute.

Maryland forced us to come in and do a verification.

Took me 30 mins at dmv....I don’t understand the big deal.

Shouldn't be a big deal if you go to DMV prepared with everything you need. A good portion of people don't though.

It's just a star so they can quickly ID you when Bernie comes around to gather you conservatives up and put you in camps.

/s before someone takes this seriously.

I just got a notice from the Maryland MVA that I need to come in and renew my license and bring some supporting docs.

Is this all I need to fly? The new state issued license?

Well that's all you need right now too so not sure what the big change is. You still need a passport to go internationally. I would schedule an appointment though if you can makes it easier. I personally was higly uncomfortable giving some random person my birth certificate and SSN card.

well Baltimore in your Commie Utopia a good comrade will always need his papers quickly available. For extra credit, keep that little red book on your person as well.

I watched a couple of Skins games at the sports bar across the street, Bar Tropical. We need to have a Warpath viewing party in TJ!
