Who's ready? Having just finished the third book, I can honestly say this season should be insane.

Nice start to the season.
One thing I find really funny is that whenever they jump to a new scene there's almost always a character that makes me think "this guy/girl is one of my favorites, I wonder what's going to happen with them." I can't decide which characters I'm the most interested in which seems to be a good sign.

It's even harder with the books, I get really involved and focused with one character during a long chapter and then it ends, the next one begins and I say to myself "Oh, you again! Excellent! Where have you been?"

If you like this type of fiction then you may want to take a look at C.S. Friedman's Coldfire Trilogy. Very dark.

Agreed on the characters- the fact that all the characters have so many angles makes this show very unique. All of them except Joffrey, of course... I just want to slap his smarmy face.

Still sitting here kind of stunned seeing that episode fleshed out. Even though I knew it was coming, it didn't make it any easier to see. The Stark family is fn cursed and George Martin is both an amazing and cruel man to do this to us all, curious to see where in book 3 this season will leave off with the finale and giving us an idea of what to expect to see in season four.

I'd been waiting for this episode and I agree- having it played out still left me shocked.

This is where book 3 starts to get nuts.
