ESPN has confirmed the report.
Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed, a source has confirmed to ESPN.com.

McNair, police said, suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.

McNair played 13 seasons in the NFL, 11 were with the Tennessee Titans. He played his final two years with the Baltimore Ravens, retiring after the 2007 season.

Wow, McNair has easily been one of my favorite QB's from the last decade, it sucks that we have to see more of this crap with NFL players getting killed, then again it sucks that we have to see more crimes like this in general against innocent people. Apparently someone else was shot as well.

"Police said it looked like a double homicide. A female victim was also found dead."

RIP AIr McNair you stud QB.

Yes, JC and SM had a close relationship. JC is from Taylorsville, MS, and McNair was from nearby Mt. Olive. Both became strong-armed NFL qb's despite growing up in rural southern Mississippi.
