Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
My understanding was Jansen was the backup prior to his departure. The official website doesn't have a depth chart established yet and I'm basically at a loss as to which current OL (other than Rabach) has experience at center.
To that end...if Mike Williams gets in shape could he play center? He would be the largest in the league, maybe the largest ever LOL. |

Edwin Williams has the fast track to the job.

Edwin Williams, the undrafted rookie center from Maryland, may have the opportunity of a lifetime if he's ready to come in and take the job. Mike Williams at center would be quite a sight - especially for Jason Campbell. |

I think Dock did some time at Center in a pinch a while back. But Mike Williams would be a sight for JC to see! |
Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
Wasn't Kendall the backup last year, but they worked Jansen some in training camp due to PK & Rabach ailing?

Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
Id say Williams.

I agree. I think the kid makes the roster (I assume you're talking about Edwin Williams, not Mike). I'd love to see him push Rabach for playing time. I doubt it will happen this year though. |
Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
I think Will Montgomery is also looked at as a backup center.

Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
Edwin Williams was a steal to get as an undrafted rookie...I think he will be the starter in a couple years

Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
Edwin Williams, will backup Rabach for 1-2 yrs and then start. Man, we've been getting some steals at MD.

Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
my guess is edwin will get a shot but kendall will be brought back at the league minimum.

Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
This thread is why I love this site.
If you don't know something, about a dozen or so others do. Backup center....man.....during OTA's....and the funny thing is...we don't even think twice about knowing all about the subject. I bet some outsiders would be like....you guys are insane! |

Re: Who backs up center Casey Rabach now?
I agree this is a good thread, but I still feel that "possible pickup" threads are better than any of the crap that gets posted after loses.
Believe me it seems boring now, but it get downright annoying after losses. irish and offiss come out of the woodwork and magically disappear during winning streaks. It's funny how they suddenly find tons of time after a loss. |
