No kidding. The guy has had so many concussions he will probably have a hard time finding the city. Sometimes you have to leave well enough alone. |

Re: Trent Green Back With Rams
If Trent makes 9 Million to carry a clipboard, great for him. But that's wishful thinking in Ram country.
At some point you have to think about your quality of life after football. If he gets thrown in to ever have to be in a position to start for the Rams, God help his soul. He's only a few shots away from not having much of a enjoyable life when the game is over. If the man was thinking clearly, last year should have been the wake up call to walk away from the game, while still able. |

One of footballs good guys, with bad luck, but still he should have retired. |
Re: Trent Green Back With Rams
Somewhere, Steve Young and Troy Aikman are shaking their heads in disbelief...Seriously though he should hang it up.

Re: Trent Green Back With Rams
Maybe Favre's decision could make that seem like a better idea to him.

Re: Trent Green Back With Rams
Hey, he needs the money to get his dog a diamond collar. Can't do that flipping burgers.

That's what I was thinking. He should seriously consider calling it a career here soon. |

Amen to that. I understand he's probably thinking he'll milk his career for all it's worth, but at some point he needs to realize the risk of getting injured again is too strong and he needs to hang it up. He should take a clue from all these retired guys that have medical bills out the ass because they didn't hang it up when the time was right. I hope for his sake he never has to play, but the odds are against him because Bulger isn't exactly a durable qb either. |
Re: Trent Green Back With Rams
I am sure there are more than a few backup QBs who hope they never have to play a down. They are more than content to sit back and collect good money without taking hits or having the team find out how bad they are in a real game.

Re: Trent Green Back With Rams
Give Trent a break.
You guys have no idea what cognitive shape he's in. Serious injury could happen on any play. No matter if you're Trent Green or a rookie. Guy can play and in a smart (Saunders) offense he'll be fine. |
