And as we’ve previously pointed out, five of the final eight teams in 2007 are coached by men who have been fired at least once by another NFL franchise.

So fear not, Redskins fans. If Fassel performs as well in Washington as he did in New York, the ‘Skins will be better than they’ve been over the past six seasons.

Even though it's not quite the same situation, did you guys know that Joe Gibbs was fired by John Madden back when they were at San Diego State?

Getting back on the subject, I have high hopes for Jim Fassel. He left NYGiants with a winning record and one Super Bowl appearance. My only question will be how well he works with Jim Zorn and his style of offense?

Can you tell us about that story between Gibbs and Madden? I remember Madden talking about it a long time ago.

I can't be critical before he has an opportunity to prove himself either one way or the other. Should he be chosen for the job, he deserves a fair and equal chance to either succeed or fail. His won loss total is 0 - 0.

I still don't understand why some of you visit PFT. Epsecially considering that an article on the same topic was posted by the Washington Times.
