Sources: Garrett will remain OC in Dallas...

Had a feeling this may happen. Oh well. Jerry's got deep pockets...

Yeah, I just read this in the Post's NFL Insider:

Too bad. I loved the thought of Dallas bleeding out.

Does this mean that he's practically guaranteed the HC job after they get rid of Figurehead Phillips?

I'm glad he's staying. His playbook is pretty simple:

Play #1 - Hike ball and give ball to the bulldozer, I mean, Marion Barber.
Play #2 - Hike ball to Romo, Romo scramble around and then throw towards TO.
Play #2.1 - If TO is pouting at the time, throw towards Witten.

Arthur Blank has got some deep pockets too, I wouldn't be so sure he doesn't have a change of heart, if the right deal presents itself.

I would imagine so. He's probably gonna get the Gregg Williams contract- a 7 figure payout if he's not named successor.

you know, that 1 mil. $ clause was just a rumor. he doesn't get any extra $ regardless of whether he becomes head coach or not.

Yeah, but at some point you can't get into a bargaining match over a guy like Garret. While he might good, he hasn't proven much. Blank would be smart to continue with his search elsewhere.

Wait, Gregg Williams' $1M clause was a rumor?? I could have sworn I read that somewhere....

Here, it's in writing in this link:

The $1M clause is probably there, but the contract doesn't guarantee that Williams is the heir apparent now.

Good call by Garrett to stay put. Baltimore and Atlanta aren't exactly the most desirable teams to take over right now.

Talk about cutting your balls off. The whole thing with Garrett that I find funny is that when his offense was new (first 1/2-3/4 of the season) he was putting up crazy numbers. As time wore on and defensive coordinators got an idea of what he was trying to do, his offense was less and less effective. Point is, he never adjusted. Does that scream Head Coach to anybody?
