Cody Boyd-Signed in Pittsburg

I cant believe we wasted a spot for this guy the entire year, just to let him go back to the Steelers.

Re: Cody Boyd-Signed in Pittsburg

Cody Boyd is a TE we signed off of Pittsburgs practice squad after the preseason. 6-8, 265. We paid and coached him all year, so the Steelers could come in and Steele him back

#1 Them's the rules when it comes to the practice squad. If you want to sign someone to your active roster, you can poach the practice squad of another team. We've picked up several guys this way.

#2 Thanks for the informative first post. I had to wait for a few more posts before I could figure out what you meant.

#3 Um, who cares? It's Cody effing Boyd.

#4 RETARDED THREAD.

Re: Cody Boyd-Signed in Pittsburg

The kid had alot of talent and Joe Gibbs thought highly of him. Pittsburg got him, because he was upset over the turmoil of having no coach.

Thanks, Killa - now I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight thinking about this.

Says who?

You going to start a thread about how PittsburgH signed Anthony Trucks too?

T.O.Killa 01-14-2008 09:50 AM

Re: Cody Boyd-Signed in Pittsburg

Anthony Trucks, is probably a career back up. He does not have the talent that Boyd did.

This is the first I've heard of him since we actually signed him...where are you getting this stuff about Gibbs being so high on him? At any rate, I don't think this is gonna keep us out of the Super Bowl

I'm really curious to see where is this news that he left because of the coaching turmoil
