Username Etiquette
I must confess, I have a very weird pet peeve. I hate it when people write saden1 as Saden1. saden1 is not a name therefore the first letter shouldn't be capitalized.
Username etiquette dictates the following: 1. Write username as it appears (this is ideal). 2. A username can be written in all lower case (i.e. smootsmack). 3. A username postfixed with one or more numbers can be truncated to just the alpha characters (i.e. Mattyk). 4. If you're going take the initialism route, capitalize all the characters (i.e. AMD or TMC). Initalism is ideal for long usernames. 5. You may truncate the username but only if it makes sense in the context of the discussion (i.e. Ghetto). |
Re: Username Etiquette
When initializing BSB put "The" before it.

Re: Username Etiquette

ok The BSB |
Re: Username Etiquette
Yeah I dont care what everyone calls me. (as long as it isnt Quakey)
|
Re: Username Etiquette
I don't care whether a person calls me Mooby or mooby. A username is a username and I respect the fact that some people care about the little things. In the future I will call you saden1, but it is my personal preforence when speaking to a person online that I capitalize their names as a sign of respect.

Had to make it a bit different. SS is cool I suppose. But it gets confusing because sometimes I think people are talking about Shawn Springs, or Steve Spurrier. I tend to capitalize Saden, and other similarly written names, when I start sentences. Damn you Mrs. McGavisk and your grammar rules! |
Re: Username Etiquette
You can call me anything but..".late for supper".

Re: Username Etiquette
