Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
This is probably my favorite show on Sirrius NFL radio. Both of the guys have always been very fair in choosing their teams. Lay out their arguments and are able to defend them. Both guys were really big on the Redskins all off-season except for a few points (namely QB)
Here's what they predicted: Solomon Wilcots: Giants, Philly, Dallas, Redskins Adam Schein: Philly, Giants, Dallas, Redskins Here's why: As far as the Redskins, they're both worried about Clinton Portis. They say you don't go out and trade for a big back like that unless there's a real problem. And let's not pretend that a football team is going to be straight with the fans and the media about what might have happened to Clinton Portis. Both of them hate what Mark Brunell brings and doesn't think he can win games for them. They don't think he will lose games, but don't think he will win them. Another time listening to the program they both thought it was time for the Campbell era. They love the coaching staff, they love the defense. But they are really worried about Portis and Brunell. I can definitely see both of their points, and it's not like these are just forum hounds pulling predicitions out of their ass. They're ex-players and they mentioned that the preseason doesn't count, but it does matter. They were high on Philly because they're healthy, young, and McNabb is good and the young corners are good. Giants is an all around balance type thing. I can see after the skins preseason disappointments, some of our injuries, and our QB dropping a bit. Didn't expect two lasts. I definitely didn't expect two 3rd places for Dallas either. |
Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
portis outside, duckett inside. really, its pretty simple

Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
Football is still a violent sport which men fight to get to the top. It doesnt matter where or how far down you start if the goal is to get to the top. Our boys let it all hang out, I cant speak for the other teams. If need be I'll swing some punches and curb some enemy fans to keep the fight going.
Look for my weekly pictures of smashing rival fans in the police blotter in a town near you this fall. |
Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
My hope is that we barely pull out a win over the Vikings and it causes all of our players to seriously refocus efore Dallas. If we can pull out a win against both the Vikings and Dallas, I think we may be in a good position to rack up some wins to help towards the division title. The next few weeks could be good for us.

Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
Just stay healthy everything will take care of itself from there.

Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
People hated Brunell at this time last year even more than they do now and we ended up in the playoffs.
We'll see what happens with MB, I think he's got one more solid season left. As for Portis, I think even if he is limited at times this year we have more than enough depth at RB with the addition of Duckett to fight through. |
Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
I think we will just let it all take care of itself on Monday 9/11. One week from tonight the game will be late in the 1st qtr at this time!!!! OMG, 7 days and hopefully the real Redskins will stand up!
Hail! |
Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
football predictions suck, it's like a weatherman predicting a 50% chance of afternoon showers. they tell you all kinds of stuff and they show you certain things but their final prediction is "it might rain or it might not rain".

Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
Micheal Irvin's hard on for his boy T.O. is really starting to, well, leave a bad taste in mouth. I mean I like ESPN and all, even Tom Jackson and jackass Sean Salisbury, but why must I hear this biased bullshit. First of all, about how T.O. is the best thing since sliced bread and then about how the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl because of him.
Are you kidding me? They had the audacity to say Parcells has the best defense since his days with the Giants. Are you kidding me?...T.O., Parcells, and possibly Bledsoe, won't even be in Dallas next year!! |

Sure, he had a great Super Bowl, and he got that team over the "hump" in the NFC title game, but does anyone here really think that the Falcons team of 04 was as good as teh Panthers, Bucs, or Rams teams that they lost too? Point being, TO is a great player, but I dont understand how him jumping onto a 9-7 team automatically makes them Super Bowl favorites. |
Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:
Even though TO's a better receiver than Keyshawn on a pure talent level, dare I say I think Key was better suited for that team.
