Top 3 tacklers in the Pre-season

Just got this from the Radio Show "Redskins Lunch"

Top 3 Tacklers for Pres-season

1. Rocky Mcintosh 22

2. Sean Taylor 19

3. Khary Campbell 18

Anyone have an opinion on this?

Does anyone think Rocky will start before week 4?

Rocky will get the majority of playing time by then whether hes starting or not. They dont want Holdman playing outside full time

Gibbs is not big on Rookies starting their first season. Unless someone gets hurt I doubt Rocky will start. He should see plenty of series, but just to give guys rest & on 3rd and long downs.

I like this guy so I hope he's on the fast track!

yea Taylor had a preseason as a rookie that was phenominal. Hes first four plays he had like 2 picks a fumble and a touchdown...and he didnt even start

Re: Top 3 tacklers in the Pre-season

If he doesn't start, I think Gregg Williams will use him more in his packages. I think we will see him on the field often. He has a great nose for the ball and he's usually around it. People on NFL sirius radio said he was a terrible draft pick and went to high. I guess our coaches and scouts know more than them, LOL wonder why?

This doesn't mean much to me. McIntosh will start when Marshall, Washington, or Holdman go down.

i think everyone keeps waiting on holdman to regain some of the form that made him a good, solid linebacker. those days, im afraid, are behind him

Honestly, Holdman has been all over the field. He looked great this preseason.

Re: Top 3 tacklers in the Pre-season

I havent been able to see much of the preseason...hasnt been televised much here. But from what I could tell they were trying holdman out at middle, so he can be a backup and we dont have to keep mccune. Which would imply they want Rocky to start

No doubt, Holdman or Rocky will make a more than adequate back-up. I think we can expect to see Rocky get lots of playing time either way.

Afterall, eveyone's a starter in Gregg Williams' defense, right?
