Looking good so far... a Falcons loss tonight and the Skins slide in to the #6 playoff spot because of their superior conference record.

Even if ATL wins tonight they still have a really tough road to the playoffs with games at the Bucs and home against the Panthers to go.

Matty I see it unfolding like a fine piece of linen. When you wake up in the morning the Washington Redskins will have the sixth spot in the NFC. But they won't stop there. I said in another thread that this would be our coming out party from a mediocre team to an elite team. Brunell was fabulous. Moss was awesome. And Cooley was in the words of the late Jack Kent Cooke, "Unadulterated Exctasy." BACK TO GLORY.

Grossman is in for Orton now. I like Grossman, he just needs to stay healthy. Meanwhile Vick has been terrible. I wonder if he gets pulled too

I honestly cant belive this. Its the week before xmas and we could potentially be in control of our own desitny??? I even saw over on E.S. a scenerio where we can clinch a WC spot next week! Its not even that far fetched either.

No I mean we actually CLINCH the spot next week. Like completley have the spot, not just in position for it.

we are in control of our own destiny now. with atlanta a few minutes away from giving us the final wildcard spot, there shouldn't be any reason we dont' make the playoffs a couple weeks from now.

man the Bears are rallying to the ball. THey are sure playing extremely well that I have seen. I just got back to Richmond from FEDEX and havent seen to much of the late game. From what I've seen the Bears sure seem to be a tough team defensively.

We control our destiny. Not much more we can ask for this late in the season. No need for revenge on the Giants. We just plain need this game to keep controlling our fate.

It's in our hands now, boys. Only two things stand in the way--the NY Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. Could there be a sweeter way to make it happen?

actually yeah, there could be two sweeter things to have instead of New York and Philadelphia, say maybe Houston and San Fransisco, which would make our fight to get into the playoffs uber easy, but that's not the point. I think if we win next week, people will start letting it get to their heads, and Philadelphia will become the "trap game" that we don't need. A team that has already been eliminated from the playoffs is a very dangerous team, as the only thing they hope for is to eliminate another team from the playoffs. Just like us last year, which is why we didn't give up fighting at the end of the year, we wanted to spoil other team's seasons as well.
