Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

According to Redskins.com, Rogers, Harris, and Springs are all listed as probable for the Dallas game.

yeah, it's not as bad as it seems. we will also have arrington, salave'a, and killings back to help us, and samuels is listed as probable as well.

I think you are right about that, there is no way they wanted to sit this one out.

Coach Gibbs concern has to be just how healthy they are and how effective they will be. Admittedly a Rogers or Springs at 80% are better than what you have in relief at 100%. Lets see what happens.

Matter of opinion. And like I said...let see what happens.

All BS and smack aside, this is going to be a friggin great game!

When was the last time that the two biggest rivals in the NFL (Cowboys and Redskins) faced off in a December game with HUGE play-off implications on the line for BOTH teams. It has been YEARS since this has happened. Not since Gibbs was in his first coaching gig there.

I am stoked, this is gonna be a great football game.

Don't forget...Gibbs is the master at playing up injured players and masking their health...especially during a big week.

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

Yeah that's greath news for you guys I belive Rogers is the healthier 1 and srping being at a 70 or 80% and Harris at a 60% but at that level they are sure better than any practice squad guy. Even thought I bet parcell will test them earlier and see how much safety help they are getting.

Did anybody hear details about Brunell's hand injury? He was grabbing his hand during the AZ game and looked a little hesitant on a couple of throws late in the game.

So BigSSKINBauer, you never tell us your opinion, do you WANT Dallas? ;)

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

They have everybody on the injury report listed as probable, to include Chris Samuels, Lavar, Thrash, can't rememebr if Salave was on it. No one listed as questionable. Great news if this is not some strategic planning and downgrade on Friday.

D'BOYZ 12-14-2005 06:44 PM

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

Man they will play at least 2 of them they might not be 100% but no way they miss thsi game to much on the line

skins052bgr8 12-14-2005 07:04 PM

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

Gibbs just answered it for me and said Salavea took work today and he sounds more optimistic today than Monday on all injuries. Thrash took a lot of work today he said also big help as a check down receiver. Hopefully Gibbs has the game plan to get them all involved and keep Dallas D in check.

What's the news on the Cowboy injury front? Anyone know?

FRPLG 12-14-2005 07:22 PM

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

I hope we have Thrash back for this game. He would be a big help to us. Especially if he can be even remotely effective at getting open. Take some heat of of 89.
What's the news on the Cowboy injury front? Anyone know?
I watched Parcells press conference today and the only name on the injury report was Chris Canty and he is listed as probable with an ankle injury. He was held out of practice today but expects to play on Sunday. He is the only one on the Cowboys injury report.

I also heard that Rogers, Harris and Springs all three missed portions of practice today but are listed as probable. Samuels and Bowen both missed practice but they too are listed as probable, along with Arrington and Thrash, although Arrington and Thrash both practiced today.

I think it is a jammed finger, but it isn't his throwing hand so he should be fine.

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

No excuses now. Everybody is playing - at the start of the game anyhow. Wash didn't look good in Arizona, and Dallas hasn't looked good on the road all year. The offense hasn't looked good on the road since SF in Sept. If this game turns on anything I agree with whoever said it hinges on turnovers.....

sandtrapjack 12-14-2005 09:05 PM

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I just found this little tidbit on the AP wire:

Everyone else with a "CB" by his name -- starters Shawn Springs and Carlos Rogers and nickel back Walt Harris -- was idle as the team broke in the game plan for Sunday's showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.

All three were listed as "probable" on the injury report, but the Redskins were otherwise cagey about the trio's prospects. Springs stymied reporters with "No comment -- don't ask" when approached at his locker, and coach Joe Gibbs said it was too early in the week to tell who will play and who won't.

That last comment by Gibbs should be of concern.

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

Actually that news is in reverse. Those comments came on Monday and the upgrade came today. There's a link on the Skins website about it actually saying that none of their injuries were as seriously as previously thought. Also, you were talking about depth, we will have plenty of it because all of our DTs are finally coming back from injury this game.

Dirtbag 12-14-2005 09:21 PM

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

I'm sure they're all banged up pretty bad, and Dallas will pick on them a little, but whatever. They'll be pumped full of anti-inflammatories and painkillers beforehand. It's December, playoff-implications, NFC east football. Gotta love it.

The article I copied that from was dated December 14th at 7:51 PM EST

Besides the article mentioned all three being listed as PROBABLE for Sunday, and Coach Gibbs did not release that injury report until today, the 14th.

Re: Ok everyone can breathe (CB injury report)

Well, well, well. Look's like the injury bug tore some ass up in East Rutherford, NJ. Mr. Giant America himself, Antonio Pierce is out at least three weeks with a high sprain that is serious enough that they already have talked about shifting their entire defensive package moving two-year starter Nick Grieson MLB. See Antonio couldn't keep his big mouth closed and now he will have to stand on the sidelines and watch us beat the shit out of his team. Oh, they also lost Luke Pettigout, Kareem Mckenzie, and William Joseph. Good luck against Larry Johnson New York G-Strings!

That's really weird because I know I read that in the WP on Monday. Maybe the quote was from Monday and the article today.

Yeah I saw that about the Giants. They are going to have thier hands full with the Chiefs. Chiefs are in a big-time must win situation now. That is going to be a hell of a shootout in the Meadowlands.

You know something just occured to me.

If Dallas is able to squeak out a win this weekend and KC beats NY, those two circumstances will force me to be a Redskin fan for a week, since the Giants come to FedEx on Christmas Eve.

Thats a scary thought.
