Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
I wonder which of our division opponents will pick up Nick the Kick now.

Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
I bet Nick will be pickep up quick. Wonder if McCune has learned a thing or two on the practice squad. Also, the activated TE Robert Johnson. WOnder if he can play ball with the big kids?

He's 6'6", 278 lbs. He is the big kids. |
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
dallas nick the kick automatic novak probably goes. the enemy he is now
|
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
I hope McCune makes it. I really liked his potential. Speed of our LBs will be outrageous if McCune is in our 3-4 scheme.

Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
i really liked novak, i thought he might've been a good replacement for john hall. i wish him luck elsewhere, except for another nfc east team. as for mccune, i think they just have him in case a starter goes down.

Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
watched starwars i just did.
i can't dislike novak he is an amzing maryland player, o well he will be on dallas and then i must hate him |
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
Dallas will pick him up and most likely beat us with him! Another good FO move! Hall ins in the back side of his football life. This young guy looked to be as good and comes at a better price. Same old thing!!!!!

Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
"looked to be as good"
Ummm his kickoffs sucked so that automatically makes him not as good. |
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
mcune can help us in run defense support
and johnson is big target in the red zone, we need to improve in these areas so it seems that the coaches made the right decision anyway\ john hall is healed and hoped that he will remain healthy since novak will be gone soon |
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
novak has no leg power, thats why his long FGs came out soo low and why his kickoffs kinda sucked.
|
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
John Hall is the only injury prone kicker in the world.
|
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
McCune's activation is pretty much irrelevant; it's not like he's going to see any real time on the field. I'd be surprised if he played on special teams. I've always been intrigued by him, but he's not going to be a factor in our game plans for quite some time, if ever.
Novak didn't really impress me all that much. Yes, he won the game-winning field goal against the Seahawks. But, Novak also couldn't kick the ball past the 10 yard line on kickoffs, had two of his field goals blocked, and didn't kick any really long field goals. Perhaps he's better than I'm giving him credit for, but I have yet to see Novak demonstrate more than he's an adequate backup. |
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
To be honest, I liked Novack only because he made a couple of clutch kicks for us. To be honest though, I was always worried when he was on the field. He didnt have great power on kickoffs and had two feild goals blocked. I know it wasent 100% his fault, but they were still low balls. John Hall is defintley the better kicker, as long as he stays healthy.
Everyone else has said it, but its gonna suck to see him go to Dallas. I wish him the best as long as hes not there lol. |
Re: Novak Cut, McCune Activated
I'm assuming the Skins waited as long as they possibly could for Hall to get healthy, and they now feel comfortable enough with him to let Novak go.
Let's not overreact here, Novak isn't a future Hall of Famer just yet, Hall over Novak is a no-brainer. When healthy Hall is a much, much better kicker. That being said, I have my fingers crossed when it comes to him staying healthy the rest of the season. |
