Bears are ROLLING
Now I know its hard to really say, but just for the sake of looking at it positivley, the Bears are absolutley SMASHING the Lions 31-6 right now. Maybe they are a little better than we thought.
Orton 10/14 119 TD Jones 13, 80yrds, TD Muhamad 5 74yrds TD Defense TD Special Teams TD Just food for thoughts |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
Yeah, I noticed that. The Bears defense is killing Harrington; they already have 3 INTs in a single half of play. Orton is looking very effective.
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
I'm definitely feeling better about the low scoring job. The only question left is if we can come out and score like that.
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
Wow, who woulda thunk it, the Bears exploding on the Lions
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
this should show that we are better than people thought if we shut the bears down like we did. but no sports writer will take note of it, they will say its a fluke cuz they love the lions
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
I talked about this yesterday with some people. That division is so open that any team can win it. I now believe that they are the weakest division in the league as we can see that minni is getting beat by Cinci 27-0
As wierd as it sounds, the bears and lions might be front runners in 2-3 weeks |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
I think I definitely underestimated the Bears on both sides of the ball.
Who knows, with the Vikes playing like they are right now, they could challenge to win the division. |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
I want to watch the minnisota cinci game because it has the biggest talkers in the league one on one.
Chad Johnson and Fred Smoot are huge talkers but again Smoot shows he is all talk with Johson having over 125 yards in the 3rd. Smoot can do fine against seconds but firsts ehhhhh |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
Chad Johnson has quietly (not literally, of course!) become one of the top 5 wideouts in the game. I wish him well against Smooty:)
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
The only point here is that our defense and offense are better than than expected. Now we can be measured by stats other than assumptions. :oink:
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
Has to give our opponents something to think about. If the Bears had only score 7 points today, then I think Dallas would probably be thinking, "yeah they beat the Bears because the Bears can't score!" Maybe the Bears have helped us somehow this week!
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
Damn, now 38-6. While I defintley dont think the bears can be compared with the Eagles, or anything crazy like that. I'm defintley feeling a lot better about what I found to be a dissapointing WIN last week.
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
And the Colts only have 7 points... Kind of a weird week...
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
But when you really think about it, we could have easily scored like 21 points on the Bears. But I give their defense credit, they are good.
Too bad those knuckleheads on their chat board won't give us the same props. |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
.....and Carolina beating New England 27 -17!
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
We can bitch about ramsey getting benched, at least we have options... Harrington has thrown 5 interceptions now... and Garcia's out for a month... Sucks right now in Motown.
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
I bet Millen's on the phone right now, shopping for QB's... If Ramsey does want a trade...? He'd have a hell of a lot of firepower...

Hey even Baltimore could use someone. I want.... ed reed, that might fly In all seriousness though Baltimore needs to give up trying to up that D with aquisitions like Samari Rolle and start fixing up that offense. Mason wasn't a bad pick up but they really need a QB. well their d did give up 23 points to the titans |

I dont know if you saw the game or not, but at least 4 of those were not on Harrington at all. I think they have the worst offensive line in football, but Roy Williams ran the wrong route twice. |

But I do get your point. B-more or Detroit may not be bad choices for Ramsey right now. |

o really i didn't know that, that is wierd i thought b-more's D is supposed to be scoring the points?????? Well i would like to keep Ramsey but like i said if baltimore offers us an Ed reed i might have to reconsider:laughing- but what would ever happen to funny man ryan clark? :dallas: :dallas: :dallas: |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
This only shows how strong our overall performance was last week.
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
I think more than anything this shows how good our offensive line is. The Bears D is obviously capable of wreaking a ton of havoc, the Lions' line is miserable and look what happened to them. Our line kept the Bears off Brunell just enough and he was able to keep the ball in our posession. Plus, our line was able to push them around enough to mount a decent rushing attack. I think our O-line play and our defense was what won us that game against the Bears. And I think that's a good sign, because those are two extremely vital parts of the team. If we can just get solid QB play, we'll be quite a force.

:dallas: :dallas: :dallas:[/QUOTE] I tell you what, if the Skins could cop a second round pick for Ramsey, at this point, that would be great. And just think, last year the Dolphins were gonna give us friggin first round pick for PR! |

If B'more were willing to trade, I say give up Ramsey and all six of our picks next year for Ed Reed. |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
hey hey hey while we are all going delusional. I will give ramsey up for DE jason Taylor from miami.
and ofcourse since the colts are in dire need of a qb i will make a trade for dwight freeney:laughing- |

Yep. They have a team a lot like ours. Don't underestimate them, but especially don't underestimate the Skins. |

Re: Bears are ROLLING
detroit gets their ass kicked every other weekend, especially on the road, this doesnt show anything
|
Re: Bears are ROLLING
they usually score some points though.

Re: Bears are ROLLING
Nice to see Detroit get smashed by chi--kinda made us look a bit better.
Great to see the Vikes crash and burn again. And everyone's favorite's, the Arizona Cards are 0-2. Big win for Denver, though--almost slipped to O-2 (which is SD's record). KC and Oak both have good offensive weapons--our D will be tested by them, no doubt. And Tampa Bay is 2-0, with a good running game and strong looking D. WOnder if it will last? Coles had a TD for the jets, but not a lot of yards. It's Monday--about 20 hours until game time. Man, I am getting pumped. |
Re: Bears are ROLLING
look at dallas's opponent. The chargers played denver who played miami week 1. The chargers put up 24 points i believe against the cowgirls, without their main man gates, then went to denver and put up only 17 points, which is one TD less and i won't be a stickler so i will call their offensive preformance against the 'girls and denver equal. But they only put up 213 total yards against denver with gates taking 60 of those, against the cowboys they got about 80 total more yards. This might be because the defense of denver is dominant but denver gave up over 425 yards to miami the first week and lost, and miami only got 235 yards this week against the jets. This just shows that the chargers offense didn't play amazing this week but did have a better day against the cowboys. Could this possibly mean that billy boy doesn't have an amazing defense?
i know that it is only week 2 and it is hard to find stats that are evenly distributed among good and bad teams but while CHICAGO had a MUCH better day yesterday than they did against us, The CHARGERS had a worse day against a defense that gave up the most yards the week before than they did against the cowpukes |

I hate to sound cliche, but on any given Sunday any team can beat another. Though the stats are a little encouraging it's really not worth much, especially 2 games into the season. These two teams will be ready tonight, and the only thing that will be important to them as far as last week is concerned is the game film that they've studied. |
