Falcons Game Week Thread

Looks like McLaurin might have to miss this game. Ugh!

Re: Falcons Game Week Thread

Falcons are desperate for a "get right" game with Penix (no way they start Cousins) and Drake London. We cannot let that happen. Run over them. Don't let BRob get going.

Offensively, I'd be curious if Terry misses the game if they will get Jaylin Lane more involved too -- dude has wheels and can stretch the field for us, opening up stuff for Deebo and Ertz. Any news on Noah Brown?

This is the kind of game we need to win -- we're better, and even though we have injuries, we need to put better teams away consistently (like we did with the Raiders).

Seems likely McLaurin is going to sit out this game, I'm not overly concerned about this.

I'm more concerned about our defense - will Lattimore and Amos be able to play? Agreed w calia, we gotta contain Bijan and let Penix throw (which is why we need Lattimore and Amos).

The classic hold-out and miss camp then get injured pretty much immediately shtick. Good fucking times.

I put most of the blame on the FO, they waited until toward the end of training camp to resolve the contract disagreements.

Agreed. Between JD5 and 17 these little, hopefully, injuries start clearing up

Rather sucks that Terry was inured stretching for a clear TD that the refs didn't give him credit for. Injury to insult (rather than the other way around.)

How have the Jags forced 9 turnovers and we haven’t got one yet?

This is a problem

The Falcons might have a shittier OL than the Raiders did. That bodes well for us. We SHOULD be able to run on the ball on them and just own the TOP.

[QUOTE=TheMalcolmConnection;1376416]The Falcons might have a shittier OL than the Raiders did. That bodes well for us. In comparison LV is near the bottom with 12 sacks allowed and a 3.1 rushing avg.

What makes people think ATL's OLine is bad?

If GB was any indication, Kyle pitts and Bijan will be keys defensively. They arent a bad defense either so I more see this as a possession and clock control gameplan..

Hope for the best. No easy W in this league.

I say we win, even with Terry out. Chance Jayden plays, which would be a boost.

Either way:

Commanders 23
Falcons 17

Despite the injuries we win...

24-20

Daniels and McLaurin both ruled out. Ugh.

Looks like the Mariota revenge tour continues for another week.

Damn Terry JD5 Bates and Brown out

Re: Falcons Game Week Thread

This needs to be a game where we run for 200+ yards (again) and control the ball. Sinnott wasn't bad as a blocker last week (although he's certainly no Bates), and Trent Scott came in as well as an "eligible" receiver but basically to block. Would love to see Deebo get more involved in the offense -- he had only 3 targets last week (or course, there were only 18 passes attempted), and it would be good to increase that as he's so good in the open field. It would be nice to finally generate a turnover too -- none so far this season (only the lowly Jets and Dolphins have failed to generate any turnovers), and that has got to change. We can't assume we'll have special teams generate so many yards of us like they did last week. These are hard, but not impossible, injuries to overcome. Will need another team effort to get to 3-1.

Can we get some turnovers and make a couple solid special teams plays? If so we win

Us - 42
Them - 17

I don’t care who is playing. We are a better team.

We're #2 in rushing yards and #1 by a big margin in YPC. Yes it's only 3 games, but its a great sign especially as the passing O still has to get going. We definitely need more of the same.

Just win baby. I have faith in Mariota. Really sucks to not have Terry. Need Lane to step up now. If the lines play like last week, I like our chances.
