What's up with McCaffrey?
Does anybody know why gets so little playing time? With Noah out I thought he might pick up some playing time, especially since he has an 80% target to catch percentage. Instead he had 12 snaps in 78 offensive plays, and 1 reception on 1 target for 0 yds yesterday??
There must be something in his game that Kingsbury or Daniels doesn't like? Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |
Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
I'm assuming that he is still raw and needs more time to learn how to run routes effectively.

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
He isn't better than Brown. Dyami can produce if they keep going to him. He's ready but needs more opportunities. Didn't really like the McCaffrey pick. He isn't explosive like Brown is. They seem to judge wr's on how well they can block first.. lol. Kinda of a joke but they put a heavy emphasis on it.

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
He had a lot of snaps early in the season and didn’t produce.
These PFT grades say he’s better than Moss and Rice so there’s that. |

This is the most likely answer |
Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
i really like to se Ben S step up at TE, Zack is probably out for awhile
Ben has been a disappointment |
Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
Yes! I was expecting a pass catching TE.
I’m surprised he hasn’t beat out bates as the receiving TE. Outside of Sainristril and obviously JD, the draft hasn’t been productive. |

Both McCaffrey and Sinnott have shown good flashes - hard to knock them as draft picks. Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |

Ben has been a disappointment
Yup. I thought we would see him more like a half back role and just more involved. 2nd round pick, right around 50 pick in the draft? You need to be contributing more. I’m not worried McC at WR. Needs more seasoning |
Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
I want to see him play more. Kind of worried about his ability to separate consistently. Not worried about his hands or toughness. Both are solid. Hope to see him more.

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
McCaffrey is developing.......he's where he should be.

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
Also, gotta keep in mind, outside of QB, WR is thee most difficult or very very close to the top of the list on most difficult for rookies to make a huge impact.
Gotta have a little patience before we assign him to join Bieniemy and Howell at the nearest JiffyLube. |
Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
He's a kid round rookie... patience

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
6 returns for 184 yards yesterday, very nice job by the rook

He is the best kick returner in the NFL. We enjoyed great field position all day yesterday. Need to find a way to get the ball in his hands more. Jayden missed him twice yesterday. Once that turned into an interception. Those would have been big chunk plays. |

Think he has a future long term rule on this team.

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
I hate to say this because I like the player's potential but IMO our fans are overrating him a touch. He was very effective in returning kicks, he sees the hole well. But I believed that was more the blocking, he certainly does not have the twitch, accelation or top end speed to ever be a threat as a returner. He may develop into a reliable receiver but that's still to be determined. IMO if this team wants to win a ring they will need weapons a bit above where I believe McCaffery will land.
He does have value and he could very well develop into a legit WR2. But I think that is still in question. |

Love everything else about him and with his work ethic and bloodlines, he definitely has talent and a lot of potential. His hands, route running, and toughness are top notch. Happy to have him on the team. |
Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
He's very good running back kickoffs.....

I don't expect him to take one back....as long as he puts the offense in great field position.... |
I don't expect him to take one back....as long as he puts the offense in great field position....
It would almost require a perfect play for him to take one to the house considering his speed level. I like his ball protection and modest gains on returns though.

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
He's definitely fast enough to take one to the house. He's faster than his brother...

Re: What's up with McCaffrey?
Well, being able to see the hole is damn good ability to have and I'd rank it higher than having top end speed.
