Forbes Cut
Well, this is one of those times I wish I could say - see I was right, he'd gone in 2 years or less see you all should have believed me. Problem is everyone was thinking that except Ron.

Re: Forbes Cut
RR has to have the worst draft record of any coach/GM ever, right? He came to DC to improve his legacy and actually made it worse. The $M's will help a little, but it must sting.
Wonder if Forbes has any hope of being picked up and playing elsewhere? |
Re: Forbes Cut
I'm sure someone will sign him soon eventually
|
Re: Forbes Cut
Shocker.

Re: Forbes Cut
Thanks Ron

Re: Forbes Cut
Embarrassing

Re: Forbes Cut
I’m interested to see how all these cuts impact our salary cap…Davis, Forbes Dotson…down the road.
My hope is we take the option to absorb as much possible this year in dead cap versus multi years down the road. Take the pain now |
Re: Forbes Cut
Keim said that if Forbes isn't claimed on waivers then we will have to pay out $9.1 million next year. Eagles is responsible for Dotson's contract. I don't believe that we owe Davis anything.

Why would you think that? He couldn't crack the line-up in a bad secondary, he couldn't even get to 2d string. |

Ouch. No one is going to claim him at that salary (No one would probably claim him at any salary for that matter). Hope I'm wrong on the first part for our sakes and the second for Forbes sake. |

I saw on over the cap Dotson carries 2 million in dead for next year. 9 in dead for Forbes next year kinda sux. Oh well, band aid coming off, just part of the process. Over the Cap has us paying 42 million in dead cap just this year. And 4 million is Jamin Davis. |

He was a starter week 1 and has physical tools to play. I’m assuming he was cut for attitude issues. Maybe he didn’t like the demotion or wasn’t putting the effort to get back on the field. I’m a supporter of Forbes but glad we are on. Seems like a culture move. |

Should never have been drafted in first round

Nor should Davis or Dotson. RR was dreadful at his job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Forbes Cut
Its not Forbes fault he was overdrafted. I am glad he got paid. Now he can play fresh for the live of the game. He is just so small. Maybe he could play slot or free safety? Size Definitely matters for CBs and WRs because if they dont pan out, they can always play special teams. That is not the case with Forbes. He needs a zone heavy scheme I think. I really do wish all these guys well. We all called it when he was drafted, probably the most obvious of all first rounders by Ron that was a head scratcher. Does anyone know when he clears waivers?

Re: Forbes Cut
I don't think he can play at this level.

Re: Forbes Cut
On the other hand, Mike Sainristil proving he’s not just a nickel corner
Big game from the rook yesterday. |
On the other hand, Mike Sainristil proving he’s not just a nickel corner
Big game from the rook yesterday.
Only thing for me yesterday was giving up the TD. I don't know whether he expected help over the top, but he gave up the deep route a little too easily; all but stopped dead at the top of the stem. Too much playing slot maybe? But the fumble and from what little I saw the rest of the game, he's a keeper. |

Seems like a culture move.
Wrong! He's too skinny and too weak to play in the NFL. He can't put on much weight or muscle due to his very small frame. If he is able to put on some weight down the line, he still won't hit anybody. It was an epic failure by Rivera to draft him in the first round. |
Re: Forbes Cut
Rams just claimed him -- so he's someone else's problem now.
|
Re: Forbes Cut
Bad pick but necessary move. Can't be wasting roster spots on players you've closed the book on. Keep doing yo' thang Adam Peters. Cut the fat.
Also thanks to Sean McVay, since the Rams picked him up off waivers that clears a fat chunk of his salary off our cap. |

Good news for both the Redskins and Forbes - cap hit should be less. |
Re: Forbes Cut
Lattimore in, Forbes out. Keep it up, AP.
RR’s crap drafting helped drive the nail in Snyder’s coffin and got us the #2 pick. Onward and upward Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Forbes Cut
I can't get over this pick.
I'm probably Forbes biggest supporter on this board and still think he will be a starter in the league at some point. But, Christian Gonzales was right there! 2022: They traded down and drafted Dotson instead of Chris Olave 2021: Jamin Fucking Davis... We could've drafted a loaf of bread instead of this bum! I just can't believe how much we wasted on the "Easy" draft picks. Realistically, most of us would've done a better job with the first round pick. Fuck you River Boat Retard! |

Re: Forbes Cut
Uggh
That was my pick. |
Re: Forbes Cut
I honestly wish this kid the best. I noticed he got picked up by the Rams. I'll never forget his reaction at Philly last year. Tough to watch. Commanders definitely need to upgrade corner and hope Lattimore works out and stays healthy.

That was my pick.
if you referring to Kyle literally the most amateur sports fan knew that should been the pick my 80 year old mom was even like" that young man from ND seems like a great pick they should get him" RR was so bad at drafting and player personal that just shows how bad it was here the only folks willing to come here under DS was RR and EB This franchise would have never grown under DS ever |
Re: Forbes Cut
The more I see the more I wonder whether RR was useless or deliberately trying to shaft Snyder. Can someone really get to this level and be so incompetent? And then you see EB...
