Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Jayden missed a couple throws, we had 2 turnovers, McLaurin dropped a TD pass, and we STILL scored 34 points.
This offense is awesome. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Well, JD5 had to have 1 bad game this season...

if thats his bad game i'll take it . . . i thought he played pretty good!! |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Yeah, his bad game was not so bad. He didn’t even play the last 12:30 and still had solid numbers. And the deep ball is a real threat now and not with just Terry.

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Today the defense was equal if not better than the offense. The defensive line had a day and the Luv-Wag LB combo fucking rip it. Mathis, Armstrong, Allen, Payne, Fowler…all flashed.
JD5 had some downs, but still more ups with some big time throws. Terry flat out missed a perfect thrown ball in the end zone. Eck and as my son says McPickles…along with BRob is a 3 headed monster on the ground to go along with the JD5 rushing attack. I had a major issue with KK not running the ball at first, but he got the message after the 1st quarter. Don’t be a fucking retard and put too much on JD5 thru the air. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Ekler has been amazing for us. The pickups AP made in the offseason are really panning out.

Congratulations. This was a very impressive victory the team looks pretty tight all the way around. This kid is special even his interviews are fun to watch.

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
yeah, lost 2 turnovers and still got to 34. That Browns offense looked BAAAD. Their D made a few plays though.

Defense was on fire, sacked Watson 7 times, gave up 6 points when the game mattered, and the Browns had 212 total yards in offense. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Frankie Luvu was on fire and deserves the game ball: 7 total tackles (4 solo), 2.5 sacks. He was a monster.

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
I have to admit I was dead wrong on Eckler. He still has plenty of tread on the tires and he's being used just right.

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Best win so far IMO

Had to watch it on my phone but 4-1 folks!! This is more exciting than 2012 for me

Watson, barring a miracle, is done. Imagine Stefanski may be gone soon. Boy did they screw up not keeping Mayfield.
We didn't even play that great on offense at times and still won convincingly. Loved the defense today. Pretty enjoyable game all around. HTTC! |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
They looked great today....they've matched their win total from last season in five games.....

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote] I was watching son-in-law compete in triathlon today and didn’t get to see any of the game, had ESPN game cast on while I was driving home, saw Mariotta in the game with over 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, and it scared the crap out of me! I thought Daniel’s had to have been hurt, I know we were up pretty good but I haven’t seen a coach pull a starting quarterback with that much time left in the fourth quarter maybe never this early in a season. Seen coaches do it before at the end of the season when the playoffs were a sure thing, but I don’t remember ever seeing it done before this early in a season. I don’t have a problem with it at all, it just scared the shit out of me |

That was an absolute team victory. Hats off to the staff. Hats off to Peters. I did not see this coming so soon. Amazing what a difference it makes without Snyder’s stink around. It still smelled like him last year. This is exhilarating.

Pass rush was showing more today and at AZ. Sprinkle in Luvu and Wagner along with a stud new qb equate to highly improved team. Love it. Transformational offseason.

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
I don’t remember when this team was just the better team most weeks.
Excited to see how they compete against playoff teams. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
It's a strange new world we live in. Not used to being universally praised or having one of the top qb's in the league.

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
wtf has happened to Watson? he is horrible. i can't imagine that clev is going to keep going w/ him too much longer.

Do they have a choice with that contract? Taught every GM in the league a lesson... |

I'd bench him and put in Winston. He was missing routine throws. He just doesn't look like the same guy at all. |

How do you watch on your phone? We had a trip planned for Sunday, our anniversary. I implied last night that I wanted to leave the next day so I could watch the game. It's an ongoing negotiation but this could solve the problem. Edit: I'm not tech savy but I once watched live TV from my tablet. I am on the Infinity Help Desk Chat. The person just asked me if I take my cable box with me when I travel. I'm not kidding. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Back on topic Eckler had always been one of my favorite players in the league, I knew that was a good signing. Biadesz was the most important signing, he has totally changed the OL and we all knew Luvu was an impact player.
This was the first test for the offense. The Browns have an excellent defense and they were taking away the plays that we had run with success. Jayden looked human, it was bound to happen, and they STILL hung up 34 points in 3 quarters. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
I was nervous about this game (and the Bengals game and the Cardinals game). I figured this would be Watson's get right game and their defense would be too much - a back down to earth game for JD... I was wrong.
Their defense is legit, but we overcame and Watson is just terrible. Our defense had something to do with that too, though... Honestly, after five weeks, I'm not nervous about any team on the remainder of the schedule, and I expect us to beat the Ravens this week. Initially, I projected 10 wins for this team, but that may have been too low. It would be insane to predict us to win out, but barring an injury to JD, we should be in every single game. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
Pretty crazy that an off day for our offense still means 34 points and over 200 yards rushing.
Kingsbury is cooking. |
Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
I'm going to miss my mid-season 202x NFL mock draft post. We're going to be in this race all season for the division. At this point, if we didn't make the playoffs altogether, it would be a huge disappointment.
7 home games left still. 9 games probably gets you in the playoffs. 10 is a lock. 6-6 the rest of the way puts us at 10 wins. |

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
You see how good JD is after you see how poorly Marcus Mariota played. Sure he cam off the bench but he was negative 2 yards for the day.

I'm still trying to process how good Jayden is already. This seriously doesn't feel real how good of a start we're off to. I'm looking forward to this week vs. Baltimore more than any game we already played or have scheduled, until 11/24/2024 vs. Dallas (this game is going to be fucking rocking. Probably haven't looked forward to a game that much since RG3's rookie season). This should be a great test at Baltimore. On the road in a loud environment, against a good team, and a duel-threat QB. We win this game, and yeah, I'm thinking 11 or 12 wins. |

Might be... This team will face adversity at some point - injuries, a bad day, bad luck, whatever it is, adversity is coming at some point, but 10 wins does seem like it might be a conservative estimate after 5 weeks. |

Cant believe the NFL hasn't flexed the game next week.. SNF Lamar vs JD5 its a home run!

Can they still do that? I'm in a bind this Sunday and hope the flex the game to SNF. |

We hadn't faced a player like Garrett and if the ESPN box score is to be believed he had a complete shutout. I know I don't remember hearing his name. Now I don't fear any team, bring them on. |

Re: Month Straight of Victories Post-game Thread
If we'd played the Browns game 1, TB game 5, I wonder if we could have been 5-0 now? It's pretty much a given Baltimore are viewing the next game in a much different light to how they would have 6 weeks ago.
