Falcons post game thread
Casey damn Toohill. Some big plays from that guy today. Scary Terry. Sam was more than adequate but really needs to throw the ball away. Can’t keep saying that. EB needs to run more too. Dotson a disappointment this year so far. Dynami Brown too. Feed B Rob. Got the W. Bring on the Vagiants.

Re: Falcons post game thread
Win is a win. Not the prettiest but the Dub is what matters.
Defense looked good at times, ridder is THAT bad tho, too. JDR and EB schemes and play calling is still infuriating. Sam did well, like everyone knows, he's gotta get better at throwing the ball away. Wonder if his height gets in his way in some of these scenarios, too. Feed B Rob. Feed Terry. Dotson did zero. Trending downward big time this year. Jamison crowder, ladies and gentleman, welcome back, officially lol. |

Falcons post game thread
Positives:
Toohill Hudson Fuller Davis Terry Samuel Negatives: Coaching TE’s disappeared, where the fuck is Turner?
I think Sam was a positive even though he let his biggest fault shine like the sun. It is totally something that can be coached out of him. Would love to hear EB and him talk about that because I need to know wth he is thinking. In certain situations, game on the line or playing from behind I can understand trying to make something happen, but my God when you can live to play another down throw it away and don’t lose yardage or get killed! But 3 td’s and no picks in your 7th game, on the road, deserves some praise. Yes about the TE’s. Pretty sure it cannot be EB doesn’t like TE’s. Are they just piss poor route runners? A guy like Sam absolutely needs the safety valve of a TE. |
Re: Falcons post game thread
EB calls plays like we're in the Arena League.
Defense did work today. Offense left them hanging all 2nd half but they kept getting stops. Falcons are a poorly coached football team. |

Re: Falcons post game thread
I didn’t see the game, only a few highlights. I fucking hate the falcons. Glad they found a way to win.

True. I want to see more Rodriguez, he moves that ball. |
Re: Falcons post game thread
Sam is ok but still holding the ball too long. The rest of the team is dreadful besides a few individuals making plays. I don’t see a team when I watch them.

Re: Falcons post game thread
Against a better team this would not have been a good game for Sam. Cut the ball loose dude. All these sacks add up to a lot of lost yards in field position. ATL can't even rush. He has got to clean this up. His internal clock is way too slow.

Cornelious Lucas did a good job for Leno today who lost his newborn baby. RIP |

Extremely too slow. He has some very good tools. If he can clean up his internal clock; he'll really take off. |
Re: Falcons post game thread
Well it is official. Games I watch 0-3. Games I don’t 3-0.
Looks like I’m not seeing any live football this season. Sorry for not realizing it sooner. [emoji854] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sam will get better with more games. He’s a young QB that needs the reps. He’s better than I thought he’d be not gonna lie

I have no idea what to expect from this team, so no more predictions from me.

Re: Falcons post game thread
Glad to have the victory. Pretty surprised that Ridder didn't get a score at the end of the game considering the amount of chances he had. Think we're a pretty average football team honestly with some intriguing talent. Still think Rivera is gone next year.

Re: Falcons post game thread
I'm undecided on EB, and i can't help thinking, is he calling too many pass plays because?:
1) We can't run (OL). Not sure I wholly believe this. 2) We are playing from behind too much. I'd say only true of Bills and Bears games. Or 3) Because SH takes too many sacks so we're in too many X and long situations. I'm inclined to believe a bit of 1, and a lot of 3. But maybe its a self fulfilling prophecy; we pass too much so we're to often in must pass situations. |

This team sleeps through the first quarter...

B Rob doesn’t look right to me …. Almost like no quick burst and kinda runs up to the line and that’s it … Chris looked a lot better to my eyes … |

Re: Falcons post game thread
Terrible news about Leno. Lucas was more than solid filling in.
After 6 games I think we have a good look at EB. His offense sucks for us. He could help out his QB a ton if he just got under center and called some downhill runs. He actually did it w/ Rodriguez. Then run some hard play action off of it to slow down the rush. It's ok to be basic sometimes. Play action from gun is totally useless. No one respects it. I wonder how much yardage a game we lose from all these sacks? It was fine today cause Atl has an incompetent coach/ QB. I think almost every time Del Rio blitzed good things happened. |

Every single run BRob gets is out of shotgun. I don't like it. Give him some carries like Rodriguez had and he'll be fine. When he runs w/ his shoulders square he is a load just like on the TD he scored. |

Our general running schemes to be mediocre and the run blocking isnt very good most of the time |

You aren’t wrong but I think that BRob needs more than 10 carries a game. Dude will eventually bust one. |

Pretty much. It is insanely up and down for so many teams and even the “world beaters” like the Chiefs and Iggles scraping by most weeks. |
Re: Falcons post game thread
Castro-Fields was awesome in ST today, forgot to mention him. Quan Martin too.

Re: Falcons post game thread
Toohill shining, Allen and Payne both had some real solid plays today too.
This D can be real good at times, it would be nice if they could play 60 minutes and not disappear for several drives a game, would also help if they didn't have an Achilles heel in the middle of the field. Nice INT too seal the game by Jamin Davis though. I think we know who we are. We gonna lose to good teams, beat bad teams, and every now and then we'll have typical Ron coached team flukish wins and losses. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk |

Oh I agree with that, but deep down, I think we all know none of our RBs are your standard HR threat. |

That is absurd the single most important factor in a running plays success is velocity of back at point of first contact. You want a slow running back hand it off out of shotgun. You want a fast running back let him build speed up to the QB. Dear lord it is simple. |

I think B Rob could be. I absolutely do. Just like any other back he needs 20-25 carries. You cannot give a guy 10 carries a game and expect a home run. I think that with a better line, and EB incorporating him more he could absolutely be that guy. |
Re: Falcons post game thread
If he had a solid OL, he would be deadly.
No doubt our line needs to be better but No quarterback has a line that will allow him to stand in the pocket for that long. He absolutely, unequivocally, needs to throw the ball away when necessary. Overall I am happy with Sam, but he has a serious problem with his internal clock. |
