Bears Pre-Game Thread
I'm going to try and move on.
I'm looking for the team to come out angry, expecting us to win by 14+. Show some growth in getting the job done efficiently. Start off strong and put them away early. Don't let D.J. Moore go A.J. Brown on us. |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Absolute must win game. A very desperate winless team comes to town who just blew a big lead at home. A lot of turmoil going on within also Claypool, Fields, etc. No excuses.
Let's go Commanders! Let's have an awesome October! |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
I don’t see how we lose this game. I think the offense rolls and defense plays much better against a very bad Bears O.

We're also coming off a highly emotional, heartbreaking loss on a short week. Like our chances also but I wouldn't say never. |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
This is going to sound crazy but I'm fed up with revolving door Wylie. Why not promote Mason Brooks and give him a try at RT. What I like about him is his size, attitude, he's not a pussy and will fight and not give up.

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Fuck all the excuses you guys make for Howell.
He needs 350 passing with 2 TDs against this D with only two sacks all season. |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Also, fuck del rio!
This needs to be a 8 sack game. |

Rather have the young hungry player who is physical and has an attitude. Lucas is old, let’s see what we have in Mason. |

The Bears will begin to tank, their season is already over. On the road on a short week? They will get beat by 10 or so

There are plenty of fingers to point at this team. Ron. JDR. Line. Special Teams. Sam is more part of the solution than the problem. |

Can't give up on him after only four games. The whole O-line is new or in new positions with the exception of Leno, and it's a new offense for them all - together. Just like the rest of the team, they have played well in spurts. They just need to get more consistent, which will come with more time together. |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Short week. No more talking about moral victories, learning losses, and excuses (reasons) for not going for 2.
I thought the offense bounced back big time against Philly after the poor performance vs Buffalo. I look for them to take another step this week. The defense allowed another 30 burger, only this time, half the points weren’t due to the offense putting them in tough positions. The D has to be better, and I think they will be. I am predicting a statement game. You don’t follow up a narrow, last-second loss in OT to the defending NFC Champs with a dud performance at home. You follow it up with an ass-whooping. Good Guys 38 Da Bears 16
Defense needs to get their act together. Everyone complaining about o-line, but the defense has been giving up 30-points a game for the past 3 games. They are supposed to be the best unit in the team and have the most resources. In particular is concerning that the d-line is not living up to their talent and expectations. Also, it will be important to score early and take an early lead. The Bears are a good running team, and we should force them to try to beat us by passing. |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Just watched the Bears Broncos game. My feeling is if we play as good as we can we stomp them... but small mistakes or a RonRiverish slow start could make this a lot closer than we expect.
That Bears Dline ain't that bad, so let's hope we get last week's Sam, and not the one that played the Bills. Same for the Oline, they better come prepared. Good news is their Oline sucks ass, and Fields makes bad mistakes when under pressure, so I'm hoping our Defense has a prove it game. IMHO the D has't been as bad as a lot of you are making it sound like. And this week would be the game to show it to the world. Chase Young was good last week, hope he keeps getting back to his former self and he and Sweat meet in the backfield a lot. We haven't seen Jon Allen that much this year either, hope to see him flash too. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk |
Bears Pre-Game Thread
If we don’t win this game comfortably, we are really doomed. But we should. The Bears can’t pressure the QB and that’s been a weakness for us (plus explosive pass plays - not a strength of the Bears). Here’s ESPN on the former:

One guy on D who has been playing great is Kendall Fuller.

He legit plays great one yr and AVG the next but hes consistent w it lol |

This is the kind of game that if we lose Ron will be fired over at the end of the season. There is 100% no excuse to lose this game

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just don’t see the upside. He’s ok… He’s Rex Grossman 2.0. I get QB envy when I see the top 5 guys. Don’t want to be in QB purgatory any longer. |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
This is what I’m saying. Howell should shine.
Mahomes is going to do what he does but Russ, Mayfield, and Love had solid games with the highest yard per pass attempt given up against the bears. Their offense is worst than their D. Should be able to use any gameplan we want.
If we don’t win this game comfortably, we are really doomed. But we should. Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Grossman 2.0? A) a bit early to call that and B) no shot he's got a lot more upside/higher ceiling than Rex lol

They haven't produce that much but it's not like they giving opponents clean pockets all day. I would hate for this game to be this new squad get it right game, I hope EB and the Oline are not underestimating that Dline... |
Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
True story French. Bears aren't the bills but that bills unit had just 3 sacks in 3 games before playing us if I remember correctly. So who the heck knows it seemed like EB learned from Buffalo and so did Sam so... here's to hoping.

I hope the coaches and other 52 guys think the same. We have not won nearly enough games recently, to ever look past any team. That's a sure way for us to eat an ugly L. |

We learned week 1 there are no easy games.

I have a feeling we Lose … Bears 27 us 17 .. I hope I’m wrong but these are the games that traditionally Ron loses … look the cards beat Dallas .. so … this is a trap game

Rivera loses this game, no way he doesn't get fired after the season. That means we are gonna only win like 6 or 7 games. |
