Eagles Postgame
Honestly I’m happy as hell.
We got screwed by the refs on two huge calls , the non PI on 32 and Terry (was in bounds) Sam Howell proved he can take a drive to the wire and score. Defense is not good, we give up way too many big plays. EB called a good game, Terry was more involved. Overall 2-2 after 4 weeks Is ok. Bears should be a W Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Should Have Went for 2 Post-game Thread
Fuck Rivera and JDR. Can't wait for them to both be fired. Couple of pussies.

Good assessment of the game. We're 2-2 and winnable games in the horizon.

Re: Eagles Postgame
Good offensive showing--more quick stuff to help our half-assed OLine, Terry, and NO TOs!
D needs work, but that is a great offensive team, particularly on the Oline, plus Hurt and WRs are excellent. Wasn't penciling this in as W, especially after last week. Next game will show us more, IMO. Gotta win the ones you should. Also, what is up with our punt team, both ways? Come on. Anyway, I'm fine with this. This is probably lame duck season for RR and JDR. Bienemy trying out for HC? |

Please don’t lose to the Bears on Thursday!

Rivera should be fired on the field if we lose that one. |

Re: Eagles Postgame
Well I won't go as far as saying "I'm happy as hell", but I'm definitely not all that disappointed. Not happy they lost, but the effort was there all game. Nice start to the game, nice fourth quarter drive for the TD to tie it. The 3rd quarter was the difference probably.
I thought the defense played fine, Forbes got beat a couple times, and Hurts escaped for that long run, but other than that it's hard to complain about much on that side of the ball. Nice bounce-back game by EB and Howell. I was impressed. I thought the O-line was pretty decent most of the time too. Running game was meh, but Robinson was mostly effective. I thought Terry was out of bounds - no way they are overturning that one. Both teams benefitted from calls in different parts of the game too, so I think it was pretty neutral as far as the refs/penatlies went. I would have been fine if they went for 2, but I'm not mad they didn't. What the hell happened to Tress Way this year? He's definitely not the same punter we have been spoiled with the last several years. Overall, to go on the road in that environment, take them to the wire, and lose only by a 54 yard FG in OT... tough to get too upset about that. 2-2 is fine. I like our chances at home against this team in a few weeks. |
Re: Should Have Went for 2 Post-game Thread
Just a brutal loss. I think it's pretty clear that we aren't good enough to beat the best teams. The defense in general is overrated and they're supposed to be the strength of the team. They're just an average group. Just cause you are all 1st rounders on the line doesn't mean you're a great d. They're just not. On top of that Del Rio has a boring vanilla scheme. We got our last two 2nd rounders that are ghosts- just terrible picks. Forbes should not have been on Brown. Just way too physical and strong for that toothpick. He is just too little to play big boy NFL football. LB's are trash. #57 is not an NFL quality player.

Re: Eagles Postgame
This is the NFL. Fuck a good loss. You can't give away winnable games in this league. Not like we're going to win all our games against the lesser teams on our schedule, so we need to win at least 1 or 2 against some good teams.
Rivera and JDR are complete letdowns. |

Re: Should Have Went for 2 Post-game Thread
JDR calls our defense like our front 4 is Parsons, L.T., Aaron Donald, and Reggie White.
|
Re: Eagles Postgame
I disagree
|
Re: Should Have Went for 2 Post-game Thread
Our offense clearly outplayed our defense and earned the right to go for 2. 1 play to get 2 yards, for the win, and Rivera chickens out. And of course our D couldn't get 1 stop. Including allowing them the easiest 10 yard completion possible, to allow for the game winning FG. I can get open in the middle of the field against our D.

given that it is year 1 of Harris, and most likely the last year of nearly all this staff, moral victories are fully acceptable. |

Yeah at some point winning has to be part of the equation more than losing. Not after 2 weeks, or 6 weeks, but after 17 of them. |

This year was never going to be different. It is basically last years team. This year is about seeing what we got in Sam. Next year bring in a real staff and GM. Sam looked really good today. |

Because i cant tell if you are just being a troll or you actually think we are a 9-10 win team or better ? I think we are a 7-8 win team based on what Ive seen and I think that sucks for year 4. Is that acceptable to you? LOL |
Re: Eagles Postgame
I agree. No moral victories and we got BEAT by the fuckin refs on several occasions but there's plenty of positives to take from this game. Just sad it wasn't a W and it fucking could have been. Fuck you, NFL
No seriously, fuck you, NFL. |

Re: Eagles Postgame
I agree no moral victories however there was massive improvement over the Bills game .. if we play like this every week we will win a lot of games .. it’s up to the coaches to clean up sone things but the eagles were not perfect either and they are a favorite to win NFC ..

Re: Eagles Postgame
There is always something to complain about, but complaining comes pretty naturally for some of you.
The offense, particularly Sam & EB, showed that they can bounce back from a really bad game, and go toe to toe with the NFC Champs. I don't know if that is a "moral victory", but it is a good sign. Growth. That's what I wanted to see this week. An actual victory would obviously have been better. I'm not happy they lost, but I am happy with the effort, the game plan, and the fact that we're 2-2 and look to be getting better. |

When your team losses as much as we have it’s literally normal. I’m staying positive, 2-2 is avg and we have 3 very winnable games ahead Bears = awful Falcons = Have no QB Giants = Have no WRs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We had the shot, we blew it. I'm less complaining and more disappointed in the result. Lots of good things in this game. Including the JAG chase young.. you know.. the one play he makes a game worth a damn (right back to complaining), lol

Jesus. The eye test against the Cards and Broncos said 2-0 was gonna be 2-2. Here we are. I didn’t expect to be 3-1 or 4-4. Im very optimistic about the future but the future is next year. |
Re: Eagles Postgame
Best performance of the season.
Still a bad team with bad coaches. But this year is all about Howell and seeing him progress (hopefully). |
Re: Eagles Postgame
And the refs.
Fuck me they were as bad as they have ever been against us. |
Re: Eagles Postgame
If we give this effort every week I’ll say we win 8 more games .. so 10-7 is my guess .
We should win next three ! |

That is the absolute ceiling imo. Im thinking 7-8 is where we will wind up. But like Davy said this season is about seeing Sam become the guy. Than let a real staff and GM build around him. |
Re: Eagles Postgame
It’s so weird to me that if Terry catch would have been called inbounds on the field then it probably wouldn’t have been overturned.
I was really impressed by the Oline today and the bounce back they had along with Sam. |

Games like today make me think it's more like 9-10. I guess the Eagles are mediocre too, since the barely squeaked by at home against a mediocre team with a terrible defense, and a statue of a head coach, who assembled a weak AF O-line...lol Like I have said. I'm not happy they lost, but there were a lot of positives today. To me, things are looking up again, despite losing to the NFC Champs on the road in OT. |
Re: Eagles Postgame
CY played solid today but where were 94 and 93?? We got gashed all day. Eagles O is top 5 in the league
