Bills Pre-Game Thread
We absolutely needed to start off 2-0. By hook or crook, they did it. Lots of room for improvement, but finding ways to win is important for up-and-coming or good teams too.
I think week 3 is going to be a great barometer game for this team. Really hoping we are competitive for all 60 minutes, even if we can't pull off the W. We win this game, and I'm literally going to turn into the kool-aid man. |

End of story!! |

I hope you're right. I'm still in wait and see mode on having 100% confidence in beating the good to great teams in the league. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Would be amazing to beat Buffalo! Very talented team over there and if we pulled off a W the rest of the league would be put on friggin notice.

Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Need the secondary to be on their game, and I'm very worried about the LBs covering their TEs. We know the DL should put pressure on Allen (as long as they keep him contained). I think our O can go toe to toe especially after yesterday. Special teams also worry me, especially Cheeseman's snapping. We can't afford to give Allen good field position.
Fix/disguise our problems and we can go 3-0... |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
One of the Bills' starting safeties (Rapp) is apparently the same kind of cheap shot artist as Kareem Jackson was yesterday. I really hope those guys are suspended for meaningful stretches of time. They're shortening the careers of players with that sh*t.

Saw the Colorado game; what's with the seeming sudden increase in dirty hits like this? With all the publicity and rule changes around dangerous hits, particularly to the head, why are players being so stupid? |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Just don’t get blown out. Stay competitive and stay close and I think we can be a playoff team even with an L.
We should be able to score points. Our LB’s worry me. Chase needs to show again. We need to rattle Allen early and turn him into a interception machine. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Cheeseman needs to get right quickly.
|
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Can we just marinate on this win for a minute? Starting next game threads on a Mon reminds me of when I was in high school dealing w/ pre mature ejaculation.

It could be said ejaculation before you're mature is a mean feat. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
This a great game to have, the schedule worked out perfect with two easier games to start it gave EB and company time to see what he has.
Honestly even if they lose this game if it is well fought and close I say that is still a win for us in the developmental/barometer world. This is a great test for us after two quizzes |

Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Bills gonna have their hands full
We can’t start slow tho, come out to play fired the fuck up |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Was just going to say we better be ready to go at kickoff.
|
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Last yr they killed us in BUF, I hope that's not the case this time around.
I do think the Bills win, they are just the better team right now but it wont be a blowout |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
If we can set the tone of the running game early, we can win just about any game. Our receivers our too fast and will get open. Denver proved this well. Bills will be tough. If Howell pulls this out, he will will be the talk of the league.

He will. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Yeah if Howell plays well and we win, the national media will go crazy
|
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
If you look at QB stats for 2023 Allen #9 followed by Sam at #10, very similar numbers. If people still doubt Howell watch this highlights, the kid is a stud.

Should be a good measuring stick for the Bills, playing the first playoff caliber team of the year on the road
Should be a good measuring stick for the Bills, playing the first playoff caliber team of the year on the road
Definitely. Them losing Frazier is a notable loss as def coordinator. Interested to see how Del Rio handles Allen and their offense. I would put Forbes on Diggs. I'd keep an eye on Dalton Kincaid too, as many think he'll eventually blow up at tight end.

This is a home game. FedEx should deliver a rocking atmosphere. It's going to be weird for teams to play here and actually see lots of our fans, instead of theirs. |

McDermontt is the DC and he was a hell of a DC with Carolina |
McDermontt is the DC and he was a hell of a DC with Carolina
Yes. That's a lot to manage as head coach and d-coordinator. Will be interested to see how plans to defend our offense. Just think our offense is quite balanced and now with a good play caller will be tough to stop, assuming the oline is decent.

Stats wise our receivers have low numbers, reason is Howell has spread the ball to receivers, TE’s and RB’s. You don’t see too many QB’s spreading the wealth like he does. |

A lot of talented receivers, tight ends and backs that are young also. Howell is spreading the ball well.

Per Nicki J.
The Commanders announced they sold out their Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field. Second-consecutive sellout for a team that was at the bottom of home attendance last year. This should be a really fun game. |

Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
It's possible for them to win this game. Need to see more of the same from Sam & the offense; and the defense has to begin the game with the same intensity they played with after the LT touchdown vs. Denver. I know that intensity is difficult to sustain for 60 minutes, but at least set the tone early on and not dig a hole like last week.

Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
A lot of people getting carried away by 2 narrow wins against bad teams who will probably both be 0-3 after their next games.
We could win yes, but it's very unlikely. |

We could win yes, but it's very unlikely.
Yes, it's unlikely. I agree. It was also pretty unlikely that they would come back from down 21-3 on the road against S Payton and R Wilson... I don't think we'll kick their ass by any means, but if they put together a complete game, it's possible to come away with a win in a close game. |

Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
We need to run the ball well. It will keep the time of possession in our favor, keep our defense fresh, minimize Buffalo's chances, and set up the passing. This offense can do very, very big things with a consistent run game. Pound Robinson/Gibson. Would be a great game for Rodriguez to have his coming out party also.

It will be a let down if we see 40% Bills fans there. That will really suck. Bills fans travel. I really feel like we have turned the corner- hopefully. If we can get some turnovers off of Allen this game is winnable. Bills are beatable but this is a good test. |

This will be a good early barometer for home fan support with new ownership. Obviously, it's improved but this will be more telling. |
