Trade out adopt the Eagle building plan (who adopted my plan). Ensure we have multiple 1st rounders in future drafts.

Unless you're in position to draft an elite QB, trading down is always a great option. We're not getting that at 16, so trading down would work for me. Especially with how many good CBs there are. We could potentially trade down and still hit at a position of need. Trades are hard to predict tho, it takes 2 to tango. |
Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
With next year being such an unknown, I'm about losing a little bit of value THIS year for getting a better choice next year. We truly have no idea what this team will look like coaching-wise, player-wise, etc. when it comes to new ownership.
I just don't want Ron blowing his wad trying to win now and cost us if he gets fired. |

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
In this mock, I traded down 8 picks to #24 with Jacksonville, and also netted a 2024 2nd round pick.
This draft is assuming we replaced Logan Thomas in free agency, and also signed a Tackle, Veteran QB, and a CB in free agency. 24: R1 G O'Cyrus Torrence - Florida 47: R2 C John Michael Schmitz - Minnesota 97: R3 LB Noah Sewell - Oregon 118: R4 Edge/DT Colby Wooden - Auburn 152: R5 HB Deuce Vaughn - Kansas State 193: R6 QB Clayton Tune - Houston 215: R7 CB Darrell Luter Jr. - South Alabama 235: R7 CB Kahlef Hailassie - Western Kentucky |

I would even take Torrence at 16 if we can’t trade down and still get him. Schmitz is gonna be a stud and is a day one starter. Sewell has huge potential and will be there at 97. |

Yeah, it would be amazing if we got all three of them. I drafted Deuce to replace McKissic, but I think he can end up being a D Sproles type back. |

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
I'm trying to pick my favorite CB prospect and I can't land on one.
As of now, I'm calling a tie, between Smith and Witherspoon. Porter is a boss too, but he's apparently better at man coverage. Del Rio eats the zone for breakfast, so probably wouldn't be the best fit here, at least in 2023. |

Read somewhere he is the most nfl ready olineman in the draft. If he is there at 47 they better take him. Take one of the big OT’s or Torrence in the first. Would love to trade down for Torrence. Plus i wanna refer to him as John Jacob Jingle Heimer Schmitz |

Gonna be very interesting to see where he lands. He could be the next Josh Allen or the next Jeff George (as a player, not a person). |
Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
Big arm and fast
The combine is set up for him to light it |

AR15 will jump up into the top 10. He’s a freak athlete with a canon! He remind me of Josh Allen

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
A lot of mocks have us taking Witherspoon lately. I suppose it's gotta be a CB, OL, or trade.
Vorhees tore his ACL. Someone will draft him, but I'd rather not. |

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
I think we should stick at #16 but I don't know enough about the guys likely available. Most mocks have us taking Witherspoon, Gonzalez or Porter, but I've seen Skoronski as a possibility too. Unlikely but if all 4 are still there when we pick, which would you take and why?
|
Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!
It depends on what they do in free agency.
If they shore up the OL in free agency and don't sign a Veteran CB like Bradberry, then I'd take the top CB, assuming there is one there at 16 and he's rated that high on their board. If they don't manage to sign a difference maker (or two) for the OL in free agency, I'd take the top O-Lineman - again, assuming there is one there at 16 and he's rated that high on their board. For me, the O-Line is the priority. I hope they use at least 25% of their draft picks on the O-Line. |
