Cowboys Pregame thread

The reports are saying that we will rotate between Heinicke and Howell. I don't get this logic at all, how can we really measure Howell's progress if we don't give him a chance to get in the flow?

if this is true that is all you need to know about the competency of this coaching staff

So you start 11 last week with the playoffs on the line and he is AWFUL.. Nothing to play for this week and you start 4? LMAO!! Dude he's a clown. I am NO LONGER in support of this man

The Washington Commanders will start Taylor Heinicke at quarterback in Sunday's regular season finale vs. the Dallas Cowboys, a move that all but signals the end of Carson Wentz's tenure in Washington, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Rookie quarterback Sam Howell will finish the game, per sources.

"Finish the game" We've seen this before.. He'll come in the last series and throw 1 pass.

I'm not watching

This is stupid. We've seen enough of Heinicke, and this all but admits he's seen enough of Wentz. Start with Howell and finish with Howell you dumbass.

Ron Rivera can seriously go fuck himself. What a dickhead.

Rivera basically telling all fans to not bother watching the last game. And I'll be taking him up on that.

This coaching staff is the best!!! I love them all!!!!!

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread

Major sigh... This old crusty fossil of a coach. Does he actually look around and see all of the young QB's that are playing? There is zero point in playing Heinicke. What is Ron worried about?

I keep going back to Brock Purdy, who even in college was the definition of a game manager. He is playing and doing pretty well. Howell was flat out a better player than Purdy, hands down better. Yet Ron feels the need to baby him. Let Howell go out there and sling it around.

Also what an epic failure the Wentz signing was. Ron finally admitting he blew it by deactivating him.

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread

Who cares who is the QB of a meaningless game. They all suck. At this point I just want for the team to have a new owner and a new coaching staff/front office.

Other than Cam Newton and that was 1 year, Ron has been the WORST QB evaluator I've seen. He is clueless

I wonder whether Wentz is ever even a backup. TH will at least get that gig. I’d be surprised if Wentz ever suited up again.

He's never been starter material. He's only started here because of the debacle in trying to find a legit starter.

Wentz is done in this league.

there i fixed it for you.

Re: Cowboys Pregame thread

Could this possibly be a contract/money thing for TH to get the start? Like if he has X number of starts he gets X amount of money? So he starts the first series, checks that box, and Howell plays the rest of the game. Just trying to find any rational explanation to march TH out there to start this game??

More likely he doesn't want him getting killed behind this OL and Parsons hunting him down for multiple sacks

Ron handprints all over this Oline debacle…im so fucking sick of his mantra of “just get an old Panther player” to fill out the roster.

Turner and Norwell just haven’t cut it. They have been bad.

Howell needs to be on the field just to get some experience and to see what he has. He should be starting

I know other teams have stupid things that happen through the year, I just feel like ours happens with such a high frequency. When Dan finally sells the team we should have a vote on the ten most embarrassing moments under the Snyder regime.

I think the guy making the gatorade and stirring the mix with a ream of cups on national television is so funny for comedic value alone. Definitely would be my dark horse to make a top ten list.

There's so many, it's hard to even remember them all. Porta-potties are definitely in the top 10.

though i was in favor of putting wentz in for Cleveland, my big fear is that this team loves TH and i bet they felt a bit deflated when Wentz was named starter.

I still think Wentz was the right move ( i am not using hindsight) but he should have been put on a very short leash

Tuddy is clearly number 1. The same week our season ends in such embarrassing fashion we trot out a fuckin pig you would see in your nightmares called Tuddy? I hope Tuddy travels to Philly next year and gets his ass kicked by their fans.
