Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
My favorite player in a very, very long time. Imagine what he could do with a better QB and skill players around him. I remember when we drafted him and I didn’t know much about him, there was a video profile on him showing his workout routine - it was insane and I thought, “This guy could be pretty good.” Man, understatement of the decade. He said he wanted to come to rookie mini camp in shape for the season.
He has a will to win and a discipline that reminds me of some of the true greats - Rice, Payton, Green. If his game ball speech wasn’t enough to make you want to shout out loud, get off this site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
He is definitely the man. His td catch last week and near td catch yesterday pretty much won us both game. He is a gamer and always rises up. Commanders are super lucky to have him.

Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
Best WR we've drafted since Gary Clark.
I know that isn't saying much but he is a great player and a very likable person. |
Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
Throw some hate my way if you must, but I'd love to see what he could accomplish with a legit quarterback.
Heinicke is nice and all, but he'll never be more than an adequate backup to me, unless it clicks for him like it did with Cousins many moons ago. Right now he's still too inconsistent. Anyways not to digress, Terry is the best. Glad to have him on the squad and glad he's proving that contract was a great decision. |

Heinicke is a nice story, but he wasn't even the best QB out there yesterday in my opinion. With the weapons this team has, I too would love to see what they could accomplish with a legit QB. But yeah, Terry is a Beast. So glad they paid him, and that he'll be here for a while. Just gotta give him a QB... |

Speaking of my man:

Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
Terry is 8th in the league in Rec yards (840)
He will definitely get over 1000 again and once again he’s never had a legit QB1 That dude could have 1500 yards with a guy like Allen or Herbert Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think Terry had 4 catches last week, maybe 6 targets; 7 targets total week before that https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/stat/receiving/table/receiving/sort/receivingYards/dir/desc ---- just realized Terry only has 2 tiddies so far this season ... hasnt scored in 5 games. |
Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
He's never been a big TD guy, but its also due to his QBs

We haven't been very good in the red zone. He has to catch deep balls to have a chance to score regularly. |

Terry has to make miracles happen every time he catches a ball from TH. |

Imagine what he’d do with a better QB. Let’s hope we find out next year.

Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
Definitely have a legit WR duo in Dotson and McLaurin, and a legit RB duo in BRob and AG. I hope we have our QB too, but time will tell.

Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
He got in the end zone last night because Howell put a ball on him in stride, allowing him to run after catch, and nobody caught him.
He's not going to high point a fade like a Davante Adams, his path to TDs in the red zone is YAC and you need a QB who can put it on him without breaking stride. That's the biggest reason I have some hope with Howell, the YAC was finally there last night. |

TH isn't accurate enough for the slants , drags , digs etc. Wentz just sucks |
Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
Love Terry, baller, winner, etc .. but
havent seen anyone mention this big fuck up ... he caught Howell's first career TD pass and then threw it into the stands. |

Re: Terry McLaurin appreciation thread
Terry and S Diggs are very similar WRs, Terry will be the all time REC leader for this franchise when it's all said and done

Yeah he admitted it slipped his mind postgame. Howell said they gave the fan a signed Howell ball in exchange for the TD pass ball. |

Big facts. You need a qb that can deliver the ball to you in stride for WR td's, Terry typically gets doubled in the red zone because every DC knows that's target #1. I loved the big catch down the field yesterday but we will see more TD's from Terry if Howell or the next guy can deliver a ball to him in stride. If it's underthrown or overthrown it gives a DB too much time to make a play. |
