I think this lack of movement on Redskins' end reinforces Riveria's explanation/plan. Riveria said that he wants to build around Redskins' young players, it seems like Riveria is going with a long-term strategy. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
I think we are continuing what we started last year let the market set itself then go in with a firm but fear price you are willing to pay if they say NO walk away.

No signings yet but #redskins twitter has us all over Byron Jones and Amari Cooper. For what #redskins twitter is worth.

Good deal |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Keeping Bostic is a big deal. We have our MLB now.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Not sure how we can say the skins have had a lack of movement and are not going to be active in free agency. The only players who have signed elsewhere so far are players we did not have a strong interest in anyways. The legal tampering period has only been going on a few hours - there is still plenty of time for moves to be made.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
We aren't shopping on any aisle. We are in the secondary market. We're shopping at Ross so far. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Redskins are signing former #Falcons G Wes Schweitzer, source says. He gets $13.5 million over three years.
Mike garrafolo... Like we hit the Oline first. Wow really stupid number for Byron Jones at Corner. Hope we do what I wanted all along...#Breeland |

PFF had him as the 61st ranked G last year. Significant downgrade from Flowers. Less than half the cost. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
From SI:
Wes Schweitzer Schweitzer has been the type of player for the Falcons in the past years that just replaces all the injured players on the line. When he’s on the field, you may get something good out him, or you may just get his worst. Nonetheless, Schweizer has shown that he could be a capable backup when called upon. With Lindstrom going down early and horrendous play from the other options, Schweitzer saw himself in 15 games last season. He’ll be heading into free agency this offseason, and it will be interesting to see what his market will look like. If the Falcons can’t find any better depth in free agency or the draft, bringing Schweitzer back may be a no-brainer. He is a guy who can play all interior positions as the primary backup. He will come in and compete with Wes/Chase for Guard -Center. |

How much is guaranteed? Great! he is better than 3 other starters |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Get Breeland back here...Bree and Dunny outside would be a nice combo

If we don't come away with Cooper or Diggs and another OL I'll be disappointed with FA

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Not shocked yet with some of the movement. Hoping we add some depth and I think breeland would be worth bringing back here at the right price. Sit back and see what the market says...

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Not surprised with the pass on Hooper. I feel Trent is going to Cleveland for a package of picks and the TE Njoku.
|
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
I rather have Martin start than Flowers and don’t consider losing him a big loss.

You know what... I think that's a good point. We all love the come back story of Flowers and he surprised us all with a solid season last year. But most of us were quite excited when we drafted Wes Martins, and at some point he has to start. |

Lol I won't argue I also mentioned this a while ago as soon as the browns were interested in TW. My best friend is a browns fan we've been discussing it for a while. A lot of ppl think Njoku is a bum but I have seen every browns game he has played and it was a scheme issue cuz the Off was a mess last year.. this dude can ball. |

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Per Rappoport:
“ #Chiefs FA CB Kendall Fuller, a versatile defensive piece, is headed to the #Redskins, per me and @TomPelissero. He gets a four-year deal worth roughly $40M.” |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Can Moreau turn into a CB2 on the outside? He was better there than the slot.
Dunbar, Fuller, Moreau with Stroman and Moreland as depth sounds pretty solid. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Now trade Dunbar and sign Logan Ryan.
|
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
As per Ian Rapoport. It looks like 4yr 40m

Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Rumors are that the Redskins wanted Amari Cooper and were “all in” to sign him at $25 mill/yr. He just resigned at $20 mil /yr with Dallas. If true this was to be THE BIG signing for this FA period. This is why they were outbid for TE Hooper and why they went for the bargain basement signing of Kendall Fuller at CB.
So our real biggest “signing” is Scherff with the franchise tag at $16 mill. The Bostic resigning was expected and the OL Guard signed is a backup to Martin. Flowers is gone to Miami for $10 mill yr versus our offer of $8 mill. I’m really surprised they didn’t go for Hooper. We have NOTHING at TE and the TE draft pool is small. The TE FA left may be more economical but they aren’t that good either. Unless we get a second rounder for Trent, then we’ll only have a third round pick to draft for a TE. The best TE’s will be gone in the draft also unless Kyle Smith finds a gem in the depths of the draft or UDFA. Not sure how we’re going to fix the TE hole now unless we take Ebron or something. He’s just average at best. I don’t know if the Cooper story is true. But it explains why the Redskins entry into FA has been pretty lame so far. Getting Cooper would have made our WR corps ELITE. Getting an average TE in FA or the draft wouldn’t have mattered because DC would be trying to defense against the MacLaurin/Cooper/Sims dynamo I wonder what our “Plan B” will be in FA. We’ve scrimped so far in FA and have lots of cap money available. Are they going to spend it or let it sit there? We need LB, S and an answer at OT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
