Bills Post Game - Post Here
Thought Haskins was pretty solid. Missed some plays as every rookie does.
Bill Callahan was a fucking embarrassment. Never seen a coach purposely try to lose so hard. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Hard to judge Haskins during this. Maybe the plan was just to be ultra conservative and boost his confidence ever so slightly- open it up a little more every week, but the Skins never think that far ahead so it was probably just an asinine gameplan. Manusky obviously has leverage on someone because this guy shouldn’t be in the league in any capacity let alone a DC.
|
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Haskins made the case to start the rest of the year.
|
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
I would bench Norman for the rest of the
Season, he blows!! Guice coming back after the bye should help the running game 1,2 punch, Thompson should help with screens too. Keep Haskins in, got nothing to lose. Apke has done a Decent job as a backup. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
I’d start Harmon outside and kick P rich inside at slot.

I put Harmon and Sims, F Richardson. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
I'm honestly at a point where I'm only interested in:
- Seeing Hasking develop (today's game was a big step IMO) - Continue to see McLaurin develop into a star receiver - Also seeing some of the younger players on offense (Harmon, Sims, Guice) get more playing time Other than that, as I've been doing it, I'm not going to care or get worked up over the crap this team put up nor expect any more wins. As with many people, I'm already in offseason form. |

Met up with super skins fan Derek, he goes to all their games Home and Road. Good dude. Just like all of us here, tired of the losing

Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
All the young players need to be in rotation at this point.
Guice and AP need to split carries going forward. No room for CT at this point. Get DG the screen plays. |

Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Let's be honest, haskins was below average. I get we want to see what's up, but 9 passes at the half? I know what everyone wants to thinkm..and I'm not saying bust or any such thing....but he wasnt great. It still seems like the game is too fast for him right now. That may improve and get better, it may not. But the game is still too fast for him and theres alot of work he has to do. I am up in the air as to if I want to see guice. I think rob is on our def need list...dont trust guice, and ad is not going to be around forever.
D did good. Finally seeing sweat doing some work. Matty I was around the ball all day. Norman is garbage and dinbar seems to be regressing... |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
It sounds like I didn't miss much! [emoji57]
Instead of listening to the Redskins lose, I chose to listen to the 106.7 WJFK re-broadcast of Game 7 of the Worlds Series. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk |

He was more decisive with the ball today. Look, Callahan passing game is all short stuff...the strength of Haskins is getting the ball down field. Will Callahan call deeper routes? I’d like to see it. |

Bill Callahan was a fucking embarrassment. Never seen a coach purposely try to lose so hard.
Idk about trying to lose, but he definitely wasn't trying to win. He was coaching like he was trying his damndest to win the game without throwing a forward pass, which is pretty consistent with what we've seen through 3 weeks. It's obvious he has no faith or trust in Haskins, and I'm guessing it's because Haskins is learning slowly and is far from ready. The whole time AP was gashing them, I was thinking about how a good coach would use that to set up play action. But Haskins either has no concept of how to run play action or Callahan doesn't trust him to run play action. Either way it's going to be a long season regardless of who's under center. Haskins showed me enough today to let him learn under center for the rest of the year. I don't know that Callahan is going to ever be comfortable enough to unleash him a bit though. Callahan is coaching like a guy who's going to retire at the end of the year, and doesn't care how many he wins or loses before then. I'll be happy when he's gone. Manusky - what can we say that hasn't been said already? Our defense looks bombed out and depleted. I think we have talent there, although we definitely need more, and I think fans in general underrate how important coaching is. Is Brady Brady without Belichick? Good coaches mask deficiencies and make players better. Bottom line: Is Manusky, or any of his coaches, making anyone better? I think Tomsula is doing good work with the d-line but that's it. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
was the fastest game I've ever seen live, was over at 3:45 ET.
ZERO Offensive Tds now in 3 straight weeks right? That's all u need to know. Bills D is damn good and fast, Haskins did what he was told to do and that is manage the game, take low risk throws and he was solid most of the day. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Haskins didn't turn the ball over after 4 in his first two appearances so that's a win for me.
Playcalling failed to inspire, maybe there's a reason Callahan has been an o-line coach since he got exposed by Gruden 17 years ago. I didn't see anything Haskins did that can't be fixed with hard work and time. He's just not ready yet. If we're going to take L's for the rest of the year might as well hope he makes the best of the opportunity. I'd probably just leave him in the rest of the year but for whatever reason Callahan won't say it even though it should be the obvious choice. Keenum should only come back in if he's trying to win games, which he clearly isn't with his 80/20 run/pass ratio. |

Overall tho, this is what we will see the rest of the way, we won't win another game most likely |

LBers and DBs are as good as it gets as far as groups go. They are stout and don't give up many big plays. |

They put everyone in the box and we blew plays. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
The Bills aren't really even a good team. Look who they've beaten. All losing teams. The fact that we could not score a TD against them is just pathetic. You can design plays where Sims can have 4 routes and try and get him in space. You can throw some back shoulder passes to McLaurin. I saw so many give up plays. Just total loser football on offense.

Exactly! The Bills' D is okay, but let's not make them to be some juggernaut. They can be ran on as well. A better team would've won today's game. Simple. |

Their run D really sucked for 1 drive and a couple other plays. AP had 101 yards in the first half and 7 in the second |

Exactly. Not only are they not giving him a chance but also handcuffing McLaurin. These coaches don't even belong in college. |

Yep! Seems as if he may be coaching to not get blown out and give himself a chance to be hired. Either that or they're tanking. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Really the only question left is how many quarters are we going to go without scoring a td?
If you had said we'd already be at 13 consecutive halfway through the year I'dve said you were smoking crack. Also, I watched the Caps tonight and as much fun as it is watching the Caps and Nats bond over winning titles, it also makes me sad that the likelihood of the Redskins doing the same is about as low as it will ever get. Dan needs to take notes from the Lerners and Ted about how fun it is when teams celebrate each others' titles. The Redskins are outcasts in a city they used to own, and it hurts. I don't think Dan even realizes how many of us are also Caps/Nats/Zards fans. No offense to the Nats either but football has long since replaced baseball as the nation's pastime and we are such garbage no other franchise in town would dare associate with us. |

1-7 before the game and he is playing it safe, and he even said he isn't trying to be the next HC. Makes zero sense. The season is over, you don't want to be the next HC, and you still coach like a puss? A broken clock is right more than anything this team does. |
It is like he is playing to not get blown out. The Redskins have been held to single digit scoring in 5 games this year, painful to watch.
Yep, makes no sense. Rather lose by 50 and go down going for the win than put your tail between your legs and just try not to lose too badly. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Why no long passes to Mc Laurie? Afraid we will lose? He can beat the defense long, give Haskins a few chances to heave the rock-just to boost his confidence and get a TD!!
Snyder should tell Callahan to OPEN it up, INT or dropped passes be damned! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Nothing worse than boring losers. If you're going to be boring, then don't lose. If you're going to lose, then don't be boring.
But who cares, anyway? A close friend of mine is completely done with the Redskins after more than a half century as a loyal fan. He just can't stand Mister Snyder and his minions any longer. Now I realize that my longtime Redskins fandom is hanging by a thread, as well. Yesterday, while the Redskins game was being played, I went to a very good seafood restaurant - the kind with no T.V.'s - and enjoyed a fine meal and good company with family members. I didn't record the game, either. It was a pleasant Sunday afternoon. |
Re: Bills Post Game - Post Here
Haskins wasn't a disaster, so there's that.
Barring injury I don't want to see anymore of Case or Colt the rest of the way. Stick with Haskins and keep ramping things up for him. |
