Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Positives...
Tres Way Scary Terry Peterson Negatives Game comes down to the last play against the other worst team in the league. I'm happy, cause I honestly thought this one could go either way. I forgot what a w feels like. Not gonna lie...either outcome would have been ok with me |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
I don’t want to hear shit from Bruce this week...the performance on offense is an embarrassment.
Good: 1. Quinton Dunbar is a heck of a cb. If he can remain healthy the rest of the year, then extend him with a solid deal 2. Terry McLaurin is the real deal. Keep it up. 3. I thought the Oline was decent 4. Defense played well for most the game. Collins was great today. Bad: 1. WR play outside of Terry is fairly terrible. Quinn just a guy. PRich hasn’t done shit this year 2. Josh Norman is terrible. He is one of the worst corners in the game. 3. Keenum is jag. Haskins could give us comparable play imo...he needs the reps |

Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
My DVR had the Redskins so low it cancelled the game in favor of bullshit reruns on other channels, so I missed the entire game. However I just watched the 7 minute highlight video on YT and I gotta say, based on those highlights we looked amazing. 11-0 run from here boys! Nobody can stop us! Extensions for Bruce and Callahan, amiright?!?!?
|
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
I thought the play all was really vanilla with less flow or rhythm than previously.
It’s really amazing where we have fucking nothing at TE with the coward Vernon Davis not playing again and just no names off the street YET! We continue to run 2 TE sets! I was really amazed we constantly put the worst skill players on the team on the field time and time again. Like they were ok with that type of game planning. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
I took a nice late morning/early afternoon nap. Didn't follow the game at all. Doesn't look like I missed much. Terry is the man!
And I love the Dolphins "failed" 2 point play call. Damn good tanking, damn good. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
No week 6 thread? No laughing at the Browns and their superbowl aspirations? No gushing on Cousins?

ITS THE FUCKIN DOLPHINS. It would be like them looking good against our offense in a scrimmage. We are going to lose our next three games by a combined 70 points. Mark it. |

Not judging our WRs when having to play with Colt and Keenum. Case had 1 good year on a loaded offense for Minny. He is a career #2 or #3 QB. Not even worth watching this team until Haskins is playing. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Peterson had like 30 carries lol that shit won't last. SF beats us by 2 Tds next week

Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Play calling seemed effective. The run game was effective enough to make almost every third down manageable, however Keenum was entirely unable to convert. There’s no excuse to not have Haskins starting from this point forward.

Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Paul Richardson is not cutting it.....through 6 games he only has 20 receptions for 163 measly yards....he's another over priced free agent acquisition that the Redskins need to cut ties with.

Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
This might be the worst Redskin team that I can remember. This team, Ritchie's lone year and Norv's first year. All 3 are comparable. Had the Dolphins started Fitz we lose. Miami is trying to lose games. This Redskin team could have very easily lost the game had Miami not tanked the call on the 2 point conversion. That was so obvious it wasn't even funny. We have a 35 year old rb and sit the 15th overall pick for scrubs.
I'm calling it now, the 49ers run for 200 next week. |

Doesn’t make any sense, just because that last play was a dud doesn’t mean anything,It means the player had to be in on dropping the ball and I don’t believe he would do it.And yes If he caught the ball he would’ve been tackled, but sometimes you just have the right defense. If They were truly trying to lose the game they would’ve left Rosen in there. But I do agree it will not be close next week |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Cunningham with some strong blocking in the run game, a very welcome sight at the TE position. Saw him several times shoot past Scherff and get a seal on the LB / S that sprung Peterson for a few extra yards.
McLaurin very strong run blocking on the outside too. They tend to run it towards McLaurin's side. It's one of those hidden little reasons that make the difference between a good player and a very good player. McLaurin is the offensive MVP hands down. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
I just wish we held onto Holtz. We down to the scrubs at TE and I’m bitter.

That last play on the 2 point try was a suspect call in that situation. Fitz was carving up the Redskins while the Redskin offense was collecting 3 and outs. If you have all the momentum at the time why not kick the extra point and try to win in OT? |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Manusky is still such a HUGE issue. Playing 20 yards off down a touchdown?! He is worse than Barry.

Also, anyone else here really glad the Skins didn't trade for Rosen like a lot of us thought we should?? He does not show much promise...I know he hasn't had a lot to work with, but I don't even see a glimpse of big upside. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Miami beat themselves. Let's face it. All they had to do was to kick that extra point and send it into overtime. Manusky is straight up trash for letting a tanking team come back from a 14 point deficit.
I'm happy with Terry McLaurin, though. I just hope he wants to stay in a couple of years when contract time rolls around. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
It's hard to put any positives in this game cause they're basically playing an elite college team and almost lost. Next week they will run for about 40 yards and give up 200.
|
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
The Redskin victory was not that costly. If you look at the tie breaking system the victory only dropped them to 3rd on the draft board, behind the two winless teams, and it is obvious Cincinnati is one of the best 0-6 teams in NFL history. 4 of their losses were by 6 points or less. They will start winning some games.
I still think the Redskins will get pick #2. |

But I do agree it will not be close next week[/quote] I think the coaches in fairness to the players had to put in Fitz cause Rosen was not functionable. But I seriously question that last call. Apparently the player had never even practiced that play. Why not go right back after Norman? He's pure garbage. I think the players wanted to win. Not sure about the coaches. Had Miami won they'd probably have a pissed off owner. |

Dunbar is our CB1. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
OK gentlemen, you need to slow your roll on Dunbar.
I love the guy and he is clearly our best corner but who did he cover yesterday? He is a good Corner who shutdown a bunch of JAGs. If he can play the same way against Amari Cooper and Thielen/Diggs then he deserves the hype and contract extension. Norman on the other hand, Yikes man. I've been a big supporter of him but he got whooped by nobodies, Unacceptable. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Fuck Norman, he can go Pamplona, Spain and get run over by a bull.

He needed to be fired before, or with Jay. He sucks horribly. I wish Gw would come back. Browns fucked up letting him go. |

He's w/out a doubt an NFL corner, but to me an average one. He's the best of a bad bunch. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Naw Quentin Dunbar is solid...it obvious in the game plan that opposing coordinators are going after josh Norman. Norman looks done.
Couple other guys who have played well is Trayvon Hester and Shaun Hamilton. More Hamilton and less Holcomb. Also, Fabian Moreau is trash, Jimmy Moreland should be getting nickel snaps over him. Less Trey Quinn and more Cam Sims jr too. |
Re: Put the plows away..skins dolphins post game thread
Why is Quinn returning punts?
Small Sims seems to have some playmaking ability and is already returning kickoffs. |
