Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
I always think the season is at least a partial success if we can beat Dallas. The Redskins showed they can play an elite team well - for half a game. If Gruden can keep the gas on, THE ENTIRE GAME, the Redskins can possibly win this. But make no mistake, Dallas is a good team. if Gruden mismanages this game, if Manusky can’t run this defense well the Redskins will lose again.
I just really wonder if Gruden can change his style with his HC career slowly circling the toilet bowl. What say you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
0 hope we win. Defense disappointed me, even during the 1st half, they moved the ball on us we just managed to get off the field, and then just bad discipline, blown coverage, missed tackles etc...
Pass protec and pass offense definitely is a good surprise, but running game still is a huge issue and I don't expect the passing game to carry the team to many wins. .. First time ever I'm so down entering a season, more so after this weekend. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
I don't think Dallas is as good as they looked. But that is probably just my redskins glasses looking at them.
I think we are as good as we looked the first part of the Philly game, but Gruden always takes several weeks to work out the kinks. His comment on the 1st depth chart of the preseason reflects the fact that he doesn't really start working things out till the season starts. It's a shame really. Add all that in, subtract Allen from the DLine, and you come up with an 0-2 start, and Skins fans calling louder for Bruce Allens head on a stick, with JG's right behind |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
I pick Dallas.
The thing that I'm going to hate most about this upcoming game is that there will probably be as many Cowboys fans in the stands as there are Redskins fans and they will cheer louder than we will. We no longer have a home field advantage. |

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Unfortunately I completely agree with everything already said here.
Unless the Redskins really come out totally on Fire [emoji91] I don't see them wining the game against the Cowboys. The Defense, which was susposed to be one of the Redskins strengths looked very beatable, especially in the nightmare of the second half of the Philly game. My only hope is that the Redskins don't get completely embarrassed and blown out of the stadium [emoji909] Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Redskins are selling tix for Sunday’s game vs Dallas for as much as $760/ticket for club level ($190 for cheapest nosebleed seat after fees). Unlike last year, it appears to be a near sellout. Going to be biggest Cowboys invasion in history of stadium that‘s seen its fair share.
As for the game itself? If the skins start 0-2 this thing could take a BIG nosedive. Bears and Giants are both winnable games but starting 0-2 almost guarantees no playoffs in todays league |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
I never thought this was a playoff team so I see no need to panic going 0-2. I hate losing to Filthy and Dallass but both of those teams are better than us on paper. They could be 2-2 after four games. The thing I really hate to see is what the stadium will look like this weekend.

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
It's really sad to see what has happened at Fed Ex. It's going to be 50% Cowboy fans. Snyder and Allen must be embarrassed when they see that shit.
Cowboys are flat out a better team and they should win the game. |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Maybe even higher. When the Giants came to town in December last year with nothing to play for it was at least 25% Giants fans.

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Because the Redskins do shit like this, we somehow win. I have ZERO rhyme or reason and it SHOULDN'T happen, but that's the type of shit they do only to lay an egg against the Giants when they play them.

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
hope we win, not sold on that happening, at all.
Inept, non-motivational HC and DC will continue to get us no where. |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
We have to beat Dallas. I don't care if we are the worst fucking team in the league.
Beating Dallas is priority #1. Priority #2 is beating Dallas twice. F Dallas. |

Robert Davis signed back to the PS, hopefully promoted to active roster this week.

If we lose to Dallas the snowball will start |
Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Our corners can not and will not hold up against their wr's. Prescott will have all day cause we have zero pass rush. We simply can not pressure the QB w/ out blitzing.

I hate doing this and it almost hurts my hands to type it,but I have zero faith in Gruden and his minions so I'm picking Dallas..and I HATE THE COWBOYS,but we will find a way to lose.

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
I remember when the Redskins games were sold out and there was a huge waiting list for a ticket. You’d see an occasional Cowboy fan and they’d sit quietly while every Redskins fan shouted to support the team. The Redskins-Cowboy game meant something and was a big deal.
It’s amazing how badly Dan Snyder has trashed this franchise. No one on the Redskins even pretends this game against Dallas means anything. Home field advantage means nothing. We don’t even come close to selling out the opening game, much less others. Tens of thousands of opposing fans show up EVERY game. Since I live near Philly, I just want our newer Redskins fans to know that the game situation since Snyder took over IS NOT NORMAL. Most NFL teams sell out most or all their games. Not us. Most NFL teams have some opposing team fans, not tens of thousands of rabid fans who sometimes appear to outnumber our own. Not us. Most NFL teams have nice, modern stadiums with food and drink items at reasonable prices. Not us. Fans in other teams bring signs to support their team (they even allow opposing fans to have signs). No us. I hope I’m still alive to see when the Black Plague of the Redskins franchise, Dan Snyder, sells the team. I’d like to go to a Redskin’s game and see happy fans root for a fun and winning team. Dan Snyder claims to be the greatest Redskins fan. If he truly was a real fan, he’d realize how he has brought down this team in every way possible. He’d sell it to someone who cares about the franchise, not just as his personal play toy. Yeah, they don't give 2 fucks. Dallas money is still green. Best part about this game is that it's on the local Fox broadcast so I can watch the loss sober, on my couch, and away from any Cowboys fans. |

Cowboys are flat out a better team and they should win the game.[/quote] I never take anything for granted. I seem to recall the '89 season. Cowboys were 1-15 that season. But that 1 win came at RFK against the heavily favored, first place Redskins. If memory serves, that loss for the Skins was the first loss of the season. Skins won SB that season too. Never believe the hype in week 2. Sampling size from week 1 too small. They still have to play the game. |

I’d like to see him replace Richardson. Richardson is a lame duck. When Gruden is fired he will go with him. I was shocked to see Richardson’s career stats. His best season was just 770 yds. We let DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garçon and Crowder, all repeat 1000 yds WR, go for him? Why? Bring in Davis - he is the future and will beat Richardson’s best season when he gets a chance to start!! Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Manusky needs to use this talent better on defense or its gonna be another long day. People talk about Zeke and run game and it starts there...but I said in the offseason, Cobb, Cooper and Gallup are the best receiving corp in the division and underrated in the conference. Cobb will probably get injured, but they didn't lose anything with Beasly when he is healthy. I think Sweat and Kerrigan will challenge Dallas more than the Giants did.
AP will be ready to play and I wasn't impressed with the Dallas D line outside of Lawrence. There are serious opportunities running the ball up the middle. The coverage in the middle of field is a serious problem with Dallas. Getting Trey and our TE to work that area will find success. Dallas covers the boundaries extremely well but their safeties are beatable when left alone. I think to win we need to gash them running, especially off the middle-left side of line. AP will be motivated to prove a point. I really like the combo routes that O Connell used to scheme space...flood the tampa 2 zone and send a man deep to open the middle for Quinn and Reed to work. I think its gonna be close but Cowboys pull away like the Eagles did eventually: Skins 20 Cowboys 27 |

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
Sweat played 51 total snaps in Week 1, splitting time almost evenly between run defense (24 snaps) and the pass-rush (23 snaps). He recorded one quarterback hurry on the day, but he made his presence felt in the run game, ending the contest with three defensive stops against a relatively formidable rushing attack.

They were running multiple things from the same looks-running and passing. Another thing new, they spread the ball around. Look at the number of receivers involved...that is not by accident. Playaction was back...they got some nice gains with it. One thing that I really like with the passing game, Keenum's vision seemed better than alex...now that may be scheme too. But Keenum was going through progressions quickly and looked to pass deep first. One thing with Jay, he still coming out and running too much on first down. He needs to mix it up there. |

Re: Predictions on Game 2: Dallas week!
This game is going to be a major embarrassment on various level for this organization. The Skins are never going to be in this game like they were in Philly and even worse, it will seem like a home game for Dallas.
Fan attendance at home will only go downhill from this point on. Its sad how far this organization has fallen. |
