Giants Postgame/Offseason Starts Meow Thread 1.0

Ya'll really getting mad we didn't close out with a win today huh? God damn Kirk, can't believe he gave up that 75 yard td run and let them run for 200+ today too. What a bum.

Exactly. What was up with our defense throwing three interceptions?

I'm not mad, who really cared? How many of us Even watched the whole game? Kirk is what he is, if they keep him cool if not whatever. Glad this will be over

Was it his worst game of this season, if not of his career? Yes. Indicative of a long term problem? LOL. Wind chill was 1 degree today, literally both teams played like shit other than the Giants making a few timely plays here and there.

That’s Cousins though honestly. You can win with him, but not very often because of him.

He had no help today. Then again he didn’t create anything either.

This. Exactly. He is a solid quarterback when the team around him plays solid. He doesn't make the waves, he rides the waves.

Eli Manning ain't shit either, except those two shiny SB rings he won. Team sport.

I swear some of you guys just want a qb that can win a SB in spite of the rest of his team, and not because of a complete team performance. We don't need a Rodgers/Brees, we need a complete team.

Cousins was 20-37 for 158 yards and 3 picks with 0 touchdowns. How is that justified? Thats disgusting.

Edit - his stats, not anyone's answer lol.

Cousins needs to catch his breathe from being God awful and choking against the Giants once again.

He played like Blaine Gabbert tonight.

Showed his true colors once again.

He had what, maybe 3 truly bad games this year? Playing with multiple OL lineups, not much WR help, top TE out, no running game... but yeah he’s the asshole

If we are staying with the Cousins/Gruden connection on offense, we need a dynamic back:

let KC and Norman go...renegotiate or cut Reed

resign Z.Brown and Foster, Junior or Murphy, and ?

sign 5+ mid-level free agents - WR, G, FS, etc.

Draft QB, RB, DL, CB

Re: Giants Postgame/Offseason Starts Meow Thread 1.0

Resign Cousins, don't fuck with Norman, resign Brown, draft a dynamic back, add offensive line depth, agree on restructuring Reed's contract.

Perine piled his gaudy college stats against weak Big 12 defenses.

Kirk is not s game changing QB, Max 8-9 win seasons with the Gruden- Kirk combo.

Kirk nor Gruden wants to be with the Redskins. Gruden wants out -Bengals

All should know Kirk wants out.

NFC East will be a strong division next year minus the Redskins.

Eagles will continue to improve, Cowboys will reload.

The Giants have an excellent GM in the building. (Check out his resume and the product he put on the field while at Carolina)

Who will pick the players for the Redskins? Allen-lol

Horrendous effort across the board.

Onto next year.

Sign him.

Dunbar extended contract for another 3 years, good move. Bye Breeland.

Is it? Dunbar makes good plays here and there, but I feel he's physically limited and not athletic enough to ever be more than a decent 4th corner. Special teams he's solid on too but that ain't enough these days.

But I'm not sure we can keep all our corners from a cap standpoint. Norman had some bad games but he's a baller. Fuller is on the rise. Dunbar can do the job. Moreau may develop into a really good player. We have good safeties.
Losing Bree wouldn't be devastating.

He is fast, tall and plays the ball well (converted WR). He isn't a polished corner but he is getting better. Not a slot corner but he is solid on the outside.

I'd like to keep Breeland if there was no salary cap, but I just don't see how it's feasible.

Re: Giants Postgame/Offseason Starts Meow Thread 1.0

The thing with Bree is he feels like he is a lockdown corner when is just a solid #2.

I like him a lot but I doubt his pricetag is realistic.
I think he goes somewhere on a one year deal to prove he is a #1.

He will for sure get paid more than we can offer and good for him. Thats why you draft the Fabians, Holsesys, Fullers, etc. I feel good about that group without Breeland.

Re: Giants Postgame/Offseason Starts Meow Thread 1.0

I'm not sure who was worse. Breeland or Norman. I'd move on from Norman cause his salary is outrageous. Not worth the money. Plus he's slow and will be in his 30's.

Schneed10 01-01-2018 07:53 PM

Re: Giants Postgame/Offseason Starts Meow Thread 1.0

Fabian Moreau should be able to replace Breeland. Definitely expecting him to make a big leap in year 2. That’s probably what Gruden and Allen see too.

I would like to see Breeland stay if Cousins is not resigned, otherwise it’s him or Norman. #1 priorities are Cousins and Zach Brown.

More like Moureau and Norman, Fuller stays in the slot were he exceeds.

Re: Giants Postgame/Offseason Starts Meow Thread 1.0

Breeland is gone. They have Fuller, Moreau, and the newly extended Dunbar.

Hopefully, they make changes on the staff. I would like to see Matt Kotwica and Ike Hilliard let go. Kevin O'Connell may be gone for the UCLA OC job.

I would be okay if they could hire Paul Guenther and James Urban from the Bengals staff. I'd also love if they could bring back Danny Smith, I know that's a reach.

In terms of the players, we need to continue to increase team speed. The biggest needs on offense are RB, QB, LG, Speed WR. On defense: a speed rusher, SS, and complimentary Middle linebacker to Zach Brown, and a NT.

As for Kirk I happy if he stays, but I am also ok if he leaves. I do not want him here for 30+ Million a year or the price of the 3rd franchise tag. This is the year that you can draft and develop a talented QB. I believe in Gruden's ability to develop a QB more than I believe in Cousins ability to find success elsewhere.
