Circle the wagon.... Bills Preview

Should be another close game this week, Seeing as the Redskins lost to Dallass at home, I think we come out and get the W against a solid Bills team..

26-21 Skins.

Key players for Buffalo= Obviously SHADY has killed us in the past so lets hope we can contain him this time around.

Taylor is a duel threat QB and can make some good throws from the pocket.

Watkins is a stud, Bree will have his hands full this week.

I'm more concerned about Rex Ryan's blitzes and Gruden's ability to counter them.

Re: Circle the wagon.... Bills Preview

Jamison crowder...gruden and cousins need to find him in the game plan.

It's really time to quit the coach speak and start Matt jones...need to make a change to kick start the run game.

Pierre Thomas is great at catching the ball out the backfield...lets look at getting him more involved in his second week.

Defense...Greg Roman runs the ball with multiple backs and the qb. This needs to be the focus, stop the ground game.

Rex Ryan's teams are wildly undisciplined...again leading the league in penalties. Cousins should change up the snap count, tell the dline to try to sell more holding calls, receivers to sell pass interference/illegal contact

Oline is will be challegend in pass pro, but that's probably the offense's strength. Keep playing our game

Little nervous about this game. Typically they have a hard time with mobile Qb's..

Don't let Sammy Watkins beat you over the top.

Shady McCoy's spin move after initial contact has been giving me nightmares this whole week. I can't even list how many times as an Eagle, we would penetrate the backfield and seemingly have him wrapped up for a loss and he would spin within the confines of a would-be tackler and suddenly have a 5-7 yard gain.

It would be nice to get this one, take some of the pressure off.

Who would have thunk the Bills offense would be their strength? YPA/YPC led by Tyrod they're top 10.

They're defense fell off and we should be able to move the ball on them and they'll probably be able to move the ball on us.

Good points on all. Hopefully we can get them to make dumb plays like they did In Philly

Not a MUST win, but as someone already said, it would be nice to take some pressure off and also build some momentum for the last two division games on the road.

They have legit weapons. Must stop McCoy and contain Tyrod in the pocket. If not, it will be a long day.

They beat the Jets and they beat the Dolphins twice (we lost to both). They only lost to NE by a TD both times. All their losses have been to teams that would either be in the playoffs if the season ended today, or are still in the hunt. They have proven they can play well and win on the road. It won't be easy, Skins have to bring their A game and limit their mistakes. If they do: WAS 31 - BUF 20.

thanks...

I really don't know why Gruden doesn't start Matt Jones. Seems like he has been better with ball security...start the man.

I really like to see something different on offense this sunday...gp and play calling have been flat the last couple games. Pierre Thomas and Matt Jones on the field at the sametime...Crowder end around...Crowder back field....

with all the blitzing Bills do...shovel pass (not andy Dalton style) and screens should work well.

Comparing Kerrigan and Orakpo's stats this year, they are almost identical. I thought it was interesting.

I would classify both as B+ pass rushers. The disappointing thing about them is that I thought the the tandem of Orakpo and Kerrigan together would elevate one of them to at least an A-

Just goes to show that with certain positions you need to be A+ regardless of those around you.

This is not a must win game but it is a very important one. It's the first game of a virtual three game season.

We all know that the Giants and Eagles both play elite teams this week. So, if we win and they both lose, then we'll have a margin for error in the final two games.

Well, enough analysis. Let's just win out! Go Skins!

Re: Circle the wagon.... Bills Preview

this may not be a must win, but I heard mentioned from players interviews that winning back to back games is on their mind. After winning on the road, they want to get the next monkey off their back. Its mental and for a teams confidence in December, it would be a big win. Im looking for a big effort and a big win.

Personally I'm not a believer in this team.

I think they are benefitting from a remarkably crappy NFC East this year and imho they(specifically the offense) should be doing better in this gift of a season.

Imo they actually have better talent then they've been coached to show. More talent then they've had in awhile. The offense is like a temper mental foreign car that only works when it wants to not when you want it. The specials and defense are playing much better then in recent years and despite injuries on defense they are managing to give the offense turnovers. However the offense isn't capitalizing on there turnovers/field position they are just keep afloat with them.

But they have these 3 games to change all that, change my mind.
The NFC East is there for the taking will you Jay?
Will you lead them?
Can you lead them?

You cant get hyped after the last 2 years of the worst W-L in the skins history? Dude, really?

These last couple years have been miserable and draining as a fan, but this year has been great in comparison. I don't know about anybody else, but playing meaniful games in December makes the holidays much better.

To knock off rivals to get into the playoffs is how I want it every year! Lets live it up a little!! fuck man, this is why im on this site...im trying to share in this playoff groove.

Have a little pride, we aren't world beaters, but damn it I would feel great to beat the Eagles and the boys to get into the playoffs.

I tell you what is frightening. You open up the lid to a trash can to throw something away and that kitten jumps out at you. That is frightening, your heart skipped a beat and you are wondering if this is what a heart attack feels like, type frightening.

for those not used to prosse, metaphors and the lost art of poetry, the bills are the kitten frantically stuck in a dark smelly hole just waiting for the unsuspecting redskins to open the lid and free its crazy.

Re: Circle the wagon.... Bills Preview

Well 30 is correct in some of his points. It's a 6-7 team going for the division due to every other team in the division being sub-.500.

It's an improved team over last season which before this season was all we were hoping for. Just because they happen to be in this favorable situation doesn't magically make them better than what they are.

The only reason this game is important is to show that they can string wins together. That's an evolutionary step in a young team's progress. Win or lose we most likely have to win at Philly to keep the playoff hype alive.

I think this team's faith in kirk and jay has grown over these last 3 weeks and this is a spot to show how much.

Re: Circle the wagon.... Bills Preview

This is our final "margin of error" game of the season.

Philly and NYG are likely losing this Sunday. This game represents another opportunity to actually make some kind of statement that this team won't continually fall back into the pack every time an opportunity presents itself to them to do something more.

If they don't win Sunday, my confidence in them winning two in a row on the road will be at zero %.

They've got to realize that if they win tomorrow, then a win next week in Philly has a very good chance of wrapping the division up and making the game in Dallas meaningless (not a guarantee, but it is very likely).
