That didn't take long. Whisenhunt is outta here. That's what happens when you are 1-20 with less than 8 months to prepare for a game.

The Titans are a disaster. Haven't really done shit since the McNair days. I don't think Wisenhunt really had a chance there.

Its gonna be wierd seeing Kapernick and/or RG3 in an Eagles uniform. But one of them is def gonna be there. Unless Bradford has a big second half, which I dont see happening....Bradford walks (he already turned down like 17 per year from eagles beginning of season) and one of them is coming in, maybe both. That is unless Chip gets fired, which I think is unlikely.

Re: Around the NFL- Week 9

Yup. All he needed was a mobile QB to play that part and I think the Eagles are back. Honestly, with either of those playing QB, you can give SIMPLE reads because they'll be able to run on you all day.

I wonder which former teammates would salivate to stick RG3 one or two times.

Titans are bad and not getting much better unless mariota ends up being great. They have a decent defense but no offense at all

I don't think Chip Kelly returns to the Eagles if this happens. His fate is tied to Bradford and the fantasy team he put together this offseason.

I just don't get why Kelly would have a guy under center that isn't a threat to run.

I think their problems are more then just needing a mobile QB. But I agree it would help to have a real run threat to their spread-zone read stuff.

I think Kelly needs to be stripped of the GM duties. The quality of the OL has dropped. The WRs don't separate. The QB is...Sam Bradford. All those are results of his is decisions letting talent walk.
Upgraded at RB but didn't tweak the run game (e.g. Pistol, I-form instead of side-by-side shotgun) until during the season. Uber predictable snap counts.
And an overall lack of growth or expansion in the offense. They tried to run the same offense with different personnel.

Kelly made a lot of mistakes this season.

Ego. In Chip's grand plan he thought he could outsmart everyone by flipping Bradford and then lying to everybody about it.

His ego has crushed this Eagle team...the receivers position is killing them. Letting Maclin walk and cutting DJax were horrendous mistakes.

Totally! DJAX and me have the same amount of NFL receptions this year. Chip must be beating himself over that move.

Sort of scary and sad at the same time, but i'm intrigued by what they are calling the Rams' "Concrete Ring of Death". It's obviously taken out some players here in recent weeks.

Things like this always blow my mind, how anyone could have figured at some point in time that a concrete track right next to a football field was safe, and / or a good idea.

Jeff Fisher says that the team has had "talks" with the NFL concerning the issue of the track. Not getting on a tangent but you kind of really wonder now if player safety is truly just a side-note in the process of making money. I know the concussion stuff not-withstanding, the concrete track seems like at least they could put something down over it to be safer, etc...

Colts-

I understand protecting your franchise QB and allowing them to play through a slump. But firing the OC? I bet Luck himself hates the decision, after all they been together since college. Nevermind the offense functioned fine with a washed up 40 y/o Matt Hasselbeck. The offense has been good for what 2-3 seasons now. Luck hits a bad stretch and it looks like the FO is in a panic.

Luck needs to play better.

49ers-

Niners are taking the opposite tact. Instead of protecting their QB they're blaming him. Meanwhile what has their OC proven to say that the scheme isn't the problem?

I guess looking at both extreme situations I think the Colts wrong decision will ultimately been less damaging.
Easier to find an OC then a QB.

Right now McFadden is the lead back in Dallas, with Michaels as the backup. However, Williams may be one McFadden injury away from seeing significant time.

Look who their owner is? Irsay looks like he'll drink a bottle of Jack, do a few bumps then pop a few pills after a loss. He's a complete mess as an owner. He's out of control on Twitter and fights with his GM after games. He just seems like too much of a "win or else" type of guy.

Pagano is next, he's gone once the season is over.

Ok, why are people not angry with her? If she really did take the money instead of sending him to prison, then why do you care more than her?

Hardy is arguably the best defensive player in the league.

No way in hell you let a talent like that walk. Who cares about PR? It's about winning championships and Hardy makes us a championship contender.

Feel bad for Hardy though. Dude is being railroaded. It was clear as day this wasn't some brutal assault like people made it seem. He was essentially suspended all of last season and then the NFL had the audacity to suspend him for 10 games this year. Now this comes out. He clearly wants to move on. Just let him. Jerry Jones Should Hold on to Greg Hardy Forever as His Damn Scarlet Letter | The Big Lead

this is so well said:

"So, I hope the Dallas Cowboys organization isn’t gutless and acts like something has now changed. Nothing has changed since they opted to give him a contract, something they were free–but not required–to do once he paid his way out of a conviction.

I know that visual evidence can shock the senses. And as much as we like to think it doesn’t, it matters in public perception. But trust me, this is the same upstanding guy who cleans up his assault weapons in an orderly fashion before police can arrive on the scene, who has come out guns a-blazing with the Cowboys, and gets teammates fired up at games. Double down on him.

The coward’s way out would be to reverse course now with your public comments and support of Hardy, Mr. Jones. Stick with him, because the Greg Hardy who did those things in those pictures and accounts is the same guy you want leading your team on Sunday."

Well said, well said

Witness Lester Peters told the Star-Telegram the suspect first held a gun to the victim’s head, adding, “I didn’t think he was going to pull the trigger.’’

Greg Miller told the paper the security “definitely needs to be stepped up,’’ and the suspect had held a gun to his friend’s head.

“Fight broke out, a couple of guys. All their friends jumped in. It was a big brawl. Next thing you know, I looked up, one of my buddies was trying to get a girl off the bottom of the pile,’’ Miller said.

“One guy walks up to him and put a gun to up his head, you know, about to shoot him. The guy ended up letting my friend go. I go to grab my friend so we can leave, I had my back turned, all I heard was a gunshot. Turn around, he shot somebody else while they were fighting.’’
