Walking Dead Season 5
Spoilers! Highlight to read:
Glad to see the group back together. And yo, ol dude from season 1 or 2 or whatever is back! The one who had the walker wife who tried to come back to the house. Only question that remains, where the fuck is Beth? |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Honestly, that was one of the best openers for a show I've seen in a while. Was AWESOME.

Can we just agree that there might be spoilers regarding the most recent episode of the show and that people who aren't caught up are reading at their own risk? I loved this premiere! I totally thought that while Terminus seemed interesting enough, it was going to be dragged out through the whole half season, and that it was going to be like 3-4 episodes of Hostel: The Walking Dead Edition. I like how they sort of implied that Rick's group could have easily turned in the Termites had they stayed at the prison long enough, but that they're still trying to hold on to at least some sense of morals. It will be interesting to see how long that last. And finally, it's nice to have Maggie back. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I also noticed that Maggie seemed to find a shirt that was extra low cut in her scavenging trips.

Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Good opener, glad they got Terminus over and done with right off the bat. I was worried they would string that out a few episodes. Can't wait for the showdown with the people that originally tried to take Terminus.

R.I.P. Bob's leg.
p.s. I don't know what Gabriel is hiding but I bet he's some crazy creeper as well. I get the vibe he used his parishioners as bait or some shit. |

I don't think he's evil, per se, but I think he locked them out of the church and kept all of the food for himself rather than providing sanctuary, and now he's racked with guilt. I wonder if Bob is still going to be good at this little 'find the good in the bad' game he was playing with Sasha. Somehow I doubt it. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Is this season any good?
(I kind of lost interest in the show when they went to the prison, the show started to get boring at that point) Just wondering if its worthwhile picking up again (and if I can skip some of the boring eps) |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
rave , why was he crying BEFORE he got his leg eaten? i think he was bit when he went under the water
rave , why was he crying BEFORE he got his leg eaten? i think he was bit when he went under the water
Interesting thought. I wonder if that would do anything to the hunters currently chowing down on his leg?
Then again, if everyone is already infected and they've been eating people for awhile they should probably be okay. |

I thought he was bit as well. But now I really don't know. And I guess doesn't matter as it looks like Bob is going to be a week's worth of dinner. Also, did you guys catch a glimpse of the dude Tyreese said he killed but obviously didn't. Tyreese gets the L for wimping out and letting the dude live. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Yeah I thought T bashed that guys face in?
Rick was right, they should have went back and killed them all. They will eventually of course, after they lose a few group members. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Episode 1 was really good and too the point.
I hope they don't go back to 7 episodes of scavenging in the woods before a big finale. They need a change of scenery. Hopefully they can find a big city and bring some new unknowns to the show. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
And whatever the crew used to make Bob's leg, looked DELICIOUS.
|
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I'm definitely ready for a big city. Personally, I'd love to see them on the move in cars a lot going between different states/terrains, etc. Maybe even another country?

I think he totally got bit under water. He went out to go kill himself when he got knocked out. The Terminus people amputated his leg to save him and use him somehow? Would they not get infected from eating Bob's walker-leg? Does cooking it kill the virus? |

Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I thought this was a great episode tonight. I feel like last episode and this episode really ramped up the drama.
And at least we had a Beth sighting! |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I agree, it was nice to see something different.
Was that carol that was rolled in? |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
It was.
My girlfriend thinks that Daryl and Carol ran into Noah and they're using Carol as a way to get into the hospital and save Beth. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Interesting little twist to last nights episode.
I think someone mentioned that happening. I'm interested to figure out plan b. If they end up running running around in the woods I will dump the show. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I hope they go back and rejoin the old group.
Wondering if Abe kills himself now, I thought he was going to last night considering Eugene gave him any sort of worth after his family got eaten. And I'm pretty sure Eugene is all sorts of wonked out now since he went face first into the ground. Actually I thought he was dead but I think it's time to leave his ass behind. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I hated every second of sundays episode of 11 zombies walking around and getting destroyed by the opposing team but that's Redskins football. At least the walking dead was good.
I'm interested to see how bloody it's going to get with the hospital group. They killed a black guy two shows ago so they are due for a new one, TDawg.8? I like when they are in the city. I hope they occupy a skyrise and make it home for a while and deal with those issues. Daryl looks like he smells like dead rats. wash your ass daryl. it's starting to bothers me. also, can you imagine the 70's bush Carol must be rocking? there is probably a walker hiding in that thing. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I know Sasha's in a vulnerable state but damn, didn't they have a rule that you didn't go anywhere alone?
I still get a weird vibe about the priest. But I feel like he's too much of a wimp to actually try to harm anyone. |

Re: Walking Dead Season 5
The Redskins and this show broke my heart yesterday.
|
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Rough way to finish out the mid-season finale.
Of course, Walking Dead went the way of Game of Thrones; really develop a character, make you feel for them and root for them and then kill them off. As much as it sucked to lose Beth, I also felt for Maggie who hadn't seen her sister in weeks (I imagine in terms of how much time has passed in the show) only for her to be dead. Glad they killed Dawn off and I'm glad the cops backed off too. They could've easily had a gunfight, but luckily the other cops didn't give a shit about Dawn either. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Who actually didn't think Eugene was a fraud? Never trust a mullet.
Sucks about Beth, just when she found her balls... |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
The husband of the hairstylist is going to be trouble.
The ROTC guy will most likely be even more trouble. Will Daryl ever shower? |
The husband of the hairstylist is going to be trouble.
The ROTC guy will most likely be even more trouble. Will Daryl ever shower?
I couldn't tell if the husband guy was even real or just a part of Rick's imagination. I feel like they're setting Daryl up to be killed or at least maimed in someway. He hasn't proven to be as important this season as last season and he's going through all these emotions.. Tearing down emotional walls, building them back up again. Show's gotten a little boring since the mid-season break. The hospital was fun. Alexandria is a mind f*ck. I feel like the next major conflict is going to come from something outside of Alexandria, not within. Hopefully this doesn't take another Governor and Woodbury turn, if so the show must be starting to run out of ideas. |

Finally found out why Jessie looks so familiar...

Sexy maid from the first season of American Horror Story. :D
and dirt, and family guy, among other things. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
Surprised no one talked about last weeks episode, that was maybe only the second time I literally talked out loud to the TV saying things like "No! This can't happen.." This episode had two super gruesome deaths, but the last one with Glenn having to watch was brutal. Curious to see how the town reacts tonight.

Rick has officially entered Shane territory.

Shane territory... That's an interesting take. I honestly don't know what to think. Mostly I'm right with him...the dude is beating his wife and everyone's like...it's really not a big deal...including her! I think he needs Daryl back. And fast! |

I don't disagree with his message at all, he's right. But so was Shane. I'm specifically talking about the barn scene (the Sophia saga) where everyone was like, "they're still people! Maybe we can save them!" And Shane was basically like, "you guys are f'ing idiots." They were both right, just the way they presented it made them look like crazy assholes to the nth degree. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
This show never ceases to amaze me. Every time I begin to think the show is getting a little stagnant or predictable, they make a left turn and step it up a notch!! I mean...who would've thought Michonne would've coldcocked Rick like that??!!
|
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
the direction of the show sucks. I'm not sure why I'm still watching.
I don't understand why they break down he show into 3 or 4 stories when the seasons are only 8 episodes. Do they really need to spend half the season on the sissy boy eugene and big red guy? Why don't they ever interact with Rick, Carol and Daryl? they way they handled domestic violence was terrible. Rick asking the lady to leave was stupid. Where the F is she going to go? maybe if she goes two blocks over he will never find her. they needed to take his ass out back and beat him down. Not just Rick but all the guys. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 5
I gave up earlier this season. Too many other better shows out there, I feel like I'm wasting an hour of my life anytime I watch TWD now.

The Walking Dead has Sons of Anarchy syndrome: Start out strong and end with a fizz. But I do think TWD has gotten worlds better since Frank Darabont left (the guy responsible for wasting a whole season looking for Sophia) For people that don't follow the comic, I guess the show is going to be too leftfield, but how it went down on the show (with some artistic changes, of course) is how it went down in the comics as well. |
