2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
Lets get it on tonight!!!
|
Good luck Wiz fans on this season I'll be keeping up with them .
Thunder up Kd for mvp! |
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
No John Wall for another month.
I'd like to see the Wizards do well, I miss the early 2000's where we were a playoff contender. I think they are trying to build for the future but I still keep feeling like this isn't the year either. |
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
damn, was just able to catch the last half of the second, but Nene out too? Still? damn that sux...anyway was able to catch Jan "No Vaseline" get block from behind trying to go off the backboard on a rebound. WTF, way to go strong. If I way 6-11 id be dunking everything.
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
It's going to be a long month until John is back, and hopefully Nene is back by then too. Seeing Houston get Harden was hard to swallow. Iwas really hoping we would make a move for him before the draft, but it's not like we had a ton to offer other than our pick.

Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
Sigh, Redskins-style!
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
I keep praying the owner is having secret meetings with a really good GM and possibly the next HC so they can fire the two we got now.
Why can't the Wizards owner offer Phil Jackson whatever he wants to get him here and to start turning this team around? Give him either a 1 or 2 yr contract and have him develope a successor to take over after his contract is up. |
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
Will they win a game this season? :D
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
FO is worse than the team
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
Why, oh why, was Ernie Grunfeld extended? Does Ted really believe the "We're headed in the right direction" mantra with this man at the helm?
Still waiting to see Wall and Beal in the back court together... wouldn't mind seeing Nerlens Noel in a Wiz uni, next season. |

We're gonna be worse than the Bobcats last season. That's REALLY REALLY bad. |
Wiz are pretty damn bad
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
Yeah, the only reason I want to watch the Wiz this season is to see how Wall and Beal mesh together.
S/N it's funny thinking about how I don't agree with Leonsis' team building method of building through the draft and being "thrifty" in free agency, and yet I would love it for the Redskins to do that. And Snyder's old ways of free spending would help a team like the 'Zards. They need a talent infusion, and the draft just isn't cutting it. |

But I also don't see why its so hard to pick up decent players and or develop decent players in basketball. I see it just like football, similar number of teams, and similar number of colleges. Yet the radio announcer will make excuses for our GM by saying about only one player pans out every year out of the whole draft. |

Basketball is is vastly different than building hockey, football and baseball teams. smaller team and 1 player makes a huge difference. In the draft there are usually only like 5 players that are those difference makers...most are just role players and pieces. Shake my head at Grunefield and Ted been a huge disappointment as an owner. Look at that trade to get Harden. When you can get a young star like that you gotta take a chance. |
Its really horrible. I don't even know what to make of this team. I feel bad for Wall when he gets back.
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
The Celtics signed a bunch of old players and immediately started winning. The Wizards should do the same.
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
I'm late, but that double overtime loss to the Bobcats last night was f'ing heartbreaking.
At least the Wizards are in line for a #1 draft pick next season. (Maybe. If Stern doesn't decide to rig the whole thing again) |

Maybe he really does mean that much to the team. I'm going to see them tonight too, hopefully they get that first W tonight. Their last few games have been pretty close, maybe that's a good sign. |

I'll admit I'm only a half hearted fan when it comes to the Wizards, but give me a decent team that wins some games and I'll watch. I'm more of a fan of Football and Hockey. and .... with Hockey not being played this year one would think basketball would fill the sports void... nope. The GM needs to go, the HC needs to go, and two bonified excellent replacements need to be brought in. Very much like what the Redskins did. Fire everyone and bring in more qualified talent at GM and HC. I'm not watching another game until they do. |
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
John Wall is not gonna resign or want to be any part of this franchise the way Ted/Ernie have completely run it into the ground. Horrible job by the owner and front office...sound familar?

class act as always
Blatche still doesn't get it. It's not your team's responsibility to make sure you're in shape. You're paid millions to be a professional. The Wiz gave him two very good contracts, despite his mental lapses off the court. I'm glad the Knicks' starters clowned him from the bench during the pre-season. |

class act as always
Great response by Blatche. After reading his explanation of the events that took place during his time in Washington everything said about him was completely out of line and not true. I now know not to go Cameo on Tuesdays because Lap Dance Tuesday is a terrible case of false advertising. And it's not a prostitute if she's not wearing fishnet stockings and asking guys driving by if they want to party. |
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
if anyone is actually curious what this assclowns excuses are you can hear an interview with him on 106.7 with holden and danny. they called him yesterday and got him on the air to ask him about all the bs he went thru here. he really is just a classless moron, can't beleive the wiz gave him all that cash, the nba is such a joke.

Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
Whew, we almost managed to lose that one, too. Glad the streak is over. I think they'll start playing better with the monkey off their backs. 3-22 is in our grasp, baby!

Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
I don't really think it's a coincidence that they won and Vesely got zero minutes
|
Re: 2012-2013 Washington Wizards Thread
How in the world is the 6th pick in the draft as bad as that guy is? He's awful.

C'mon now, he subbed in for Price for the last play with 0.2 seconds left. Obviously his lock down D helped us win the game. |
OKC- just Beal with it!

Haha, just playing man. You guys are the truth. DC sports needs a temporary lift after yesterday. |

I root for the Wiz to do good man, idk u would think I'm from DC or something lol. OKC is great but can we beat Miami in 7? Heck even the clippers look legit so we'll see. Long season but Beal looks really good. |
Yeah it's going to be a track meet to the ring. You guys, clips (deepest team in the league and Chauncey/Hill haven't even played), Heat. Can't believe the Warriors are coming up too. David Lee is slept on.

Curry is McNasty... along with Thompson, that's a great back court. |
