Madden '13 player ratings
 

QB ratings are out, RG3 starts out at 83, pretty fair I think. 93 for speed, 95 for arm strength, he's going to be fun to use.

He'll probably be one of the top 10 rated Redskins on Madden. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of our rosters' ratings.

Come on don't be a debbie downer, we should have a good team overall. At least in Madden.

Mid season rg3 will.be a 90 overall.

Trent Williams and garcon will be 90s aswell

Mo Hurt was in the huddle too. I'm definitely gonna have to download that, I haven't played Madden since Madden 11. I was planning on buying anyways just so I can ball out with RG3 in franchise mode.

like the throwbacks, but i wish they still made a PC version. instead i have to use mods of madden 08, which is, uh, a bit dated.

i played it for pc many years ago. i only played franchise mode, i couldn't deal w the gameplay.

Madden 2013 demo out tomorrow for download on Playstation Network and I assume Xbox 360 Live. (I have a Playstation 3)

Two sets of teams to try out.... Giants@49ers and Seahawks@Redskins.

We all get to test drive RG3 before the game come out in two weeks on august 28th.

Yeah Gus Johnson in the booth was great at first, but got old really quick. Plus the commentary seemed so disjointed. It seems they put an emphasis on cleaning that up.

I hope the new physics engine is the real deal.

Since it seems there might be some decent commentary this year that just sounds like another reason to definitely check this out. For the better part of 6 years I put up with the commentary, but the last time I played it I just put some music on and muted it.

Went home for lunch and the PS3 demo was not available yet. I'm curious if any of you other guys have been able to download it yet either.

PS3 version won't be available until 3 or so from what I've read, that's when they update their online store. 360 version was up this morning.

i want to get 360 again, especially now that the [B]fastest qb in the game is a rookie on the redskins[/B]
i wonder how many seasons he'll go until his speed drops and until he retires. hopefully not until year 20 or so

Came away from the demo unimpressed. Seems like the same old blah. Player models suck as well RG3 looks weird and the coaches look like the guy from beetlejuice with the shrunken head. Sorry about the rant. Lol

This is the first year in a long while the game feels "new".

I liked the demo. The coaches look pretty funny. It's like the take a player's body and stick an old coaches head. LOL. Game looks good though, loved the Skins' throwback unis. Kerrigan is a beast and it was nice using Jenkins in the middle. Running game was okay, passing game just about the same as '12 I feel. RG3 is awesome. I also played with the G-men against the 49ers. Patrick Willis is a tackling machine.

Only downside for me was no Gus Johnson.

I'm with you, I'm not a big Jim Nance/Phil Simms fan. I feel like Nance should be in the tower on 18 at Augusta National. Maybe I not a CBS fan because most of the Skins games are on FOX. eitherway, I just like Gus Johnson's over the top enthusiasm better.

They have to fix the coaches' bodies! Pete Carroll looks like a body builder. No way is he that big in real life. Is Pete Carroll the coach of the Seahawks, or is that Ed Hochuli's new job!

I thought Gus Johnson was horrible. His reactions were way over the top and often didn't fit the situation. I don't think it was his fault, I like him doing live games, but he just didn't work in a video game IMO.

Aren't our throwback helmet's a matte finish? That reflection bothers me... other than that, not really seeing anything revolutionary on the demo. I do prefer this years commentary, but time will tell how repetitive it gets.

i really miss madden commentary. can't they have him record every possible syllable/sound and let the computer do the rest? even if the cadence sounded like my gps or like siri, i would dig it if it was madden's voice

I played the demo today and I can say that RG3 is the truth. I found myself shocked at the throws I can make now. The speed of the game reminds me of '04, I actually like it. The Right Analog kicking ala Swinging your club in Tiger Woods makes it more difficult to kick because you can throw your kick off with a shaky thumb. I'm going to enjoy Madden and our D is legit!
