kyle busch apparently dosen't have any sponsers for the race at talladega tomorrow. so what did he decide to do, paint his car an exact replica of ricky bobby's car from talladega nights. so awesome, can't wait to see it on the track.

I was at the Richmond race on Saturday and this redneck i work with said to me did you have fun at the race? Too bad that douchebag Kyle Busch won.

I played along and was like yeah that really sucked, but otherwise it was a good time......

Are they from Canada or something?

Unfortunately did meet Kurt, not a pleasant experience at all. Spent a whole day with him and then his driver was late in picking him up. It was ugly.

Well from what I got from that is I still hear cars racing,so his day has ended early,so he's pissed about that.Then he's waited 10 minutes for them to start the interview that never happens.Im not saying he's not a dick,im just not judging him from that clip

Never met Bonds so...

Won't divulge details. I'll just say we were both tired after a long day, both wanted to go home. I could have left him alone to wait for his driver and go on home. But I stuck around for an hour waiting with him, least he could is act like I'm in the room with him and at least try to engage in some polite conversation with sighing, and rolling your eyes every two minutes.

I say Barry Bonds because Bonds was notorious for having this anti-social type of attitude. He didn't like the media, and pretty much showed it throughout his career. It's why he was never loved like Ken Griffey, Jr. or Derek Jeter. Those guys had some sort of personality (at least in public) that got people to like them. Barry, not so much.

It won't be long before the Busch brothers are out of racing all together due to their attitudes and actions. The thing I find most funny is that he is employed by a man known for his integrity/character in that of Joe Gibbs. Why did Gibbs even hire this assclown?

Kyle is probably the best race car driver in the world or at least in the top 3. He is very talented. Him and Tony Stewart can drive anything with wheels to victory lane.

I like to say that the WWE is just a soap opera for guys. Im starting to think that the personalities and love/hate attitudes people have for NASCAR drivers is along the same lines.

As noted, Kyle is a heck of a driver. Gibbs had some assclowns wear Burgundy and Gold as well. But if anyone can keep talented assclowns in check it's Gibbs.

I was a big Bill Elliott fan until he "retired" and became an occasional, part-time driver.

Now I root for whomever is driving for Joe Gibbs even if no one else likes them. I just root for the Gibbs team.


I'm also a fan of Mark Martin. He's a physical beast.

Side note: I know a girl that went back to Denny Hamlin's hotel about 5+ years ago when there was a Crown Royle race in town. It was early in his career so sponsers and news and stuff were making a big deal about a local kid coming home for a big race, so he had name [COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]recognition [/FONT][/COLOR]even for non race fans (like this girl). Turned out not to be Denny Hamiln....

There is a huge difference between the NFL and NASCAR. NASCAR teams are dependent on sponsors. One guy can destroy sponsorship money with his attitude and actions. (as noted by Busch being kicked off 2 teams already) One idiot in the locker room isn't going to affect sponsorship in the least, unless it's a case like Vick. (crime involved)

You can be the biggest talent and dick in the NFL and still keep you job. In NASCAR, you'll lose your sponsorship(and fans) in no time flat.

Also, Gibbs hasn't done much to subdue Busch's actions and attitude since he's came aboard the team so so much for that "Gibb can keep em in check" theory.

And I mean Hamlin is seemingly nice to the general public, but to his crew he's a total ass. Whereas many believe Tony Stewart comes across as a bit of an ass to the general public but he's super nice to his crew

Also, in reality JD Gibbs is much more the everyday guy than Joe is.

Yeah,I have not heard a bad word uttered about Hamlin,you just never know.Stewart has more of a bad reputation than Hamlin,I would think to the general public most people would think Hamlin was the nicer guy than Stewart.
Do you have any dealings with Jr? How is he regarded?
I was into Nascar when I was young and lost touch with it,didnt watch a full race till the Daytona Dale Sr died,so since then ive had a soft spot for Jr,plus hes a skin fan.
Besides Jr I pull for anybody on the Gibbs team,but I like Mark Martin,Tony Stewart and Waltrip

You know I never really dealt much with Junior or Jeff Gordon. Nothing more than just seeing them hanging around

And maybe Hamlin's changed but the thing with (at least 3 years ago) him is that everyone in racing recognizes how unbelievably hard the crews work and how important they are to the team, no one acknowledges that more than Tony Stewart, but not Hamlin.

He was a total ass to his crew. Never took responsibility for his own mistakes or gave them credit for their stellar work. It was unfortunate to witness.

Didnt Gibbs at one point hire "personal security" for Tony Stewart in the pits because Tony was getting into so much with other drivers ie Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson? This was like 7-8 years ago I want to say.

I've always liked Stewart...first when he drove for Gibbs and even now I know some don't like him but I haven't seen anything that would make me not like him. He is competitive on the track and unapologetic about it but in terms of dealing with people he seems like a pretty solid guy.

Whether he gets along with other drivers I could care less about.

I have heard Jr. is a pretty good guy too. I think he is pretty laid back. Been a fan of his too especially since he and his siblings got pushed out of DEI after Sr. passed. I hated Sr. but for no good reason other than I did. I think a lot of people hated Sr. just because. I think I'd like him nowadays.
