Around the NFL Week 7
I know it's not Sunday yet, but let's go ahead and start a fresh thread for this weekend.
Let's start with this bit of kind of shocking news. Olin Kreutz has decided he's done. No more passion for the game. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 7
Wow. That's so odd. Most guys tend to think about that stuff at the end of a season going forward. Not that he played well this year anyway, but that's a hard spot for the Saints. Kind of a dick move if you ask me. You can't tell me this guy didn't have this feeling somewhat going into the season. That he just had an epiphany all of a sudden week 7. If you think you might not want to play and could wind up calling it quits mid-season, don't do it. Just think if he had done that to the Bears. Their already bad line would be even worse.

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
Tomlinson is getting a start vs. SD this week...some type of "ceremonial" start. His role should stay the same though, unless he gets hot.
Carson Palmer starting is a game I'd love to see. I can't imagine he'll be very effective just days after joining the Raiders and not playing for so long. Going to be interesting for sure. |

The last thing the Raiders want is to have a QB who hardly knows the playbook be the main man. We all know how Kerry Collins and John Beck looked when they had little time to learn the playbook. |

This is the week Tebow proves himself to the world. He will light it up!

Yeah, it was unkind to do to the Saints. In his defense, maybe he was having negative feelings but could not determine whether he had lost passion for football itself or just for the Bears. If so, it would take a few weeks in a change of scenery to realize that it was football that was the issue. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
Well, I think part of it is that he's walking out and leaving the money on the table.

Go Falcons!
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 7
As much as i would love to see the skins win this week, ive watched almost every carolina game, and they have been competitive with some of the elite teams. If they had better clock management they would have beaten the saints, and they gave the packers the best fight any team has given them so far this season. I think we take a tough loss this week. Cam newton is that good.

Looks unlikely that Palmer will start

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
Not the NFL...but tonight Jim Fassel and the Las Vegas Locomotives look to threepeat in the UFL as they take on Marty Schottenheimer's Virginia Destroyers in the UFL Championship

LMAO! Bet ya Marty's team rushes the ball more times and has the lead late in the 4th then implodes and lose. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
This is kinda interesting. Jets to me are struggling in many facets of the game and have been overall a disappointment on the field. In the media lately they've kinda acted like clowns, first Rex with his bs comments about the Charges and Norv. Completely uncalled for.
Now hearing this is kinda humerous cause it appears Revis cant take the heat and during a radio interview today. Revis gets way to upset and then someone from the Jets organization gets on the phone and tells Revis to hang up during the interview. Just wow: Jets' Revis hangs up on WFAN's Francesa |

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
How fortunate is Jerome Harrison? What a week it has been for him. You wake up to find out your are going to be traded to to the Dream Team, and during the physical they find a brain tumor...The intended trade might have saved his life.

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
I'm watching Countdown on ESPN, and just heard Keyshawn, yet again, use a current situation to bring up his break-up with the Bucs and put his own spin on it. Seriously, dude, you got "Keyshawned." Stop obsessing about it and instead work on finally offering some insightful opinion about something. Or anything.

Re: Around the NFL Week 7
Our NFL staff meeting is going to be just awesome this week! Key vs. Gruden! Let's get ready to rummmmbbbbllllleeeee!!

Yes they are and yes you did. It's the nfl's yearly England game. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 7
I'll tell you, the first halves of all these games today are really freaking boring. A bunch of injuries and hardly any scoring.
