thankfully this dude is just not Skins material in this new & improved regime. Gibbs was right about his talent, but nothing else. From what JLC used to write, people that worked at Redskins park didn't like him from teamates on down.

So did Haynesworth. I didn't want us to sign him, but after we did and saw his interviews, I bought into it. Ted Bundy probably interviewed well too.

A lot of these guys know what to say when the camera is rolling. BL was a giant turd back in the day when he was here. Not sure if he's changed much and I really don't care anyway.

Keim is great, absolutely great. But I put Rich Campbell of the Washington Times right up there with him

Rich Tandler and Dave Elfin are solid but Keim and Campbell are probably the best

Here's how I view our receiving..

We currently have Santana who needs to be on the field every game, without question.
Gaffney is currently playing like a #2 making clutch receptions and most importantly, he's got history with Rex.

Bringing in Lloyd as a #1 and pushing Moss and Gaffney back would clearly help, but let's not forget we have this guy named Anthony Armstrong who is one year removed from a 900 year season (give or take) that is recovering from injury and got off to a slow start with Rex.. I fully expect AA to mesh in as the third threat soon.

Is it worth the 3rd or 4th for Lloyd? Because the truth is our defense is going to allow this team to win and adding another 1000 yard receiver, isn't going to do much when we currently have three legitimate options who are already being held back due to a bad quarterback (Rex).

And I mean, clearly the name Brandon Lloyd isn't the favorite for the Washington Redskins for obvious reasons.

Hopeless in the nuances English language like fair chunk of people, you failed to comprehend that being a "fit" for anything does not necessarily mean you are going to be pursued and obtained for use. There is no backpedaling, only your failure to comprehend the nuance. I'm sure a BMW or Mercedes would "fit" alot of people, but they sure as hell ain't gonna buy one barring lottery wins or the like.

Lloyd is a #1. However, New York has Cruz and Nicks, Philly has Maclin and Jackson, and Dallas has Austin and Bryant. There is no way Lloyd is going to crack those pairings. We have Moss and Gaffney. Gaff is a good possession receiver but can be bumped down. Moss is not the elite deep threat anymore. Lloyd would be the #1 here, so indeed, he is a fit here.

He is their leading WR and I think on a better team he might have better numbers. Not sure what he is like as a person that may have something to do with the trade but as far a talent I don't think he is one hit wonder.

Doesn't the concept of "fit" take into account, I don't know, your history with the organization? How can you "fit" with an organization that got rid of you after being an abject failure and embarassment for several years? How many TD passes did he catch as a Redskin again?

There is no ****ing way the fan base would take to trading picks for this guy again. No way, no ****ing how. Imagine the back lash if you traded for the same guy twice and both times he flopped. Not just no, but..... HEEELLLL MOTHER ****ING NO.


It's not a good fit, and never will be. Some other team needs to make that gamble, we still have scars from being burnt with him before.

When did Lloyd play for Shanahan? MS was fired by Denver on December 30, 2008; Lloyd was signed June 15, 2009. Wikipedia don't fail me now...

He was likely making his statement based mainly or solely on what Lloyd brings to the field currently. We certainly could use what Lloyd does bring to the table [I]currently[/I], that's why he'd "fit" here. Too bad he blew it when he had the chance and then he burnt his bridges with us.

The only thing Graziano is at fault for is hinting something he did not intend, which he rectified.

This is John Fox evaluating the roster over the offseason and first 5 or 6 weeks and realizing Brandon may be a mid round pick to help build the team in his image. Lloyd has been playing pretty damn good the last couple of years. He also seems to have dropped the pre-madonna attitude and realized he was wasting a god given talent of catching the football. Shame he didn't realize that while he was with us.

Fox wants picks, picks and more picks. This team is not in the image of a John Fox team. Not on either side of the ball. He wants big strong physical offensive and defensive lineman.

Preach
