well done .. that's bad ass

Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
I really like those uniform colors. Personally the best of our current selections.
For more hard hitting analysis, please tune in later! ;) |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Even in the early incompletions of Grossman's performance, he has a feel of who is open and KNOWS where to go with the football.
Also, it's a testament to Kyle Shanahan's scheme that one guy always seem to be open. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
LOVE the Vids DBag!!!
Many good things to be happy about. As has been mentioned, I am a little concerned with the D secondary, protection for Rex. He is getting hit a lot. Run blocking as well. HTower is the real deal and when he gets even decent blocking he makes things happen. If ever there was a cure for "Bad Rex" it is big days from Htower and the run game. Oh, and Gano...U better git' Better...you should be ashamed as your brother kicked is out smacking down 63 yarders and you choke in a 38 |

I'm starting to think that the quick edit style you see with the D videos is better. Quicker to make and they flow much better. Plus some of the replays I throw in there I'm starting to notice don't show that much (part of the reason I show them with QB's is in hope of seeing better views of pass protection and the receivers routes). Of course just when I think to cut replays entirely I see stuff like Aikman's analysis of Hightowers TD run with Paulsen's key block on Boley (it really is amazing how quick they notice these things). It would have taken me at least 10 times of watching that to notice Paulsens block. I don't know, I guess I'll play it by ear from hear on out. I've also considered putting together a video of Kolb so we can look ahead to this weekends game but that might be overkill. Granted I did put together a McNabb video, lol, but he only had like 17 or 18 total plays. [YT]2VDS-Iw6yh4[/YT] |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Looking ahead to the next game would real cool.....
A lot of work on your part....though |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Cool...but I won't lie. I was kind of hoping this thread was Slingin' Sammy's review
|
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Awsome what you did with the video's. Funny how the media was marveling at how many receivers Tom Brady used in their game yet the Skins used 4 different receivers on their first TD drive, completed passes to 5 different receivers on their second TD drive, and then on the third TD drive Grossman used 4 different receivers among WR's, TE's, and RB's.
Yet not nearly a word in the media about all the receivers the Skins used in game one. Interesting. |

Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Yeah I heard plenty of remarks of how Rex did a good job of spreading the ball around.
So are the Gaints the new Aints of the league? |

Sorry maybe I was too excited the team was actually doing well. lol. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Call me crazy, but am i the only one besides that johnny5 guy that has the slightest inclination to think that Grossman might have a couple pro bowl type years ahead of him?

All he has to do is look off the coverage and then complete the pass. If it's not open, he goes to the check down. Atleast from watching these past two years that is what it looks like |

Atleast from watching these past two years that is what it looks like
Definitely something Donovan Mc39yds couldn't do last season. Either he was stupidly forcing the ball down the field when there was a wide open underneath guy or dirt balling the pass. And of course, Mickey39's lack of accuracy on all sorts of passes was annoying as well. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Unfortunately, I think it's about time to close up shop. Remember that Vince Young video that had all of Vince Young's snaps from 2010, found out the NFL took it down, as well as a video called something like Redskin Cowboys miracle finishes which is sad because that was actually a pure fan made video. Only a matter of time before they come after channels like mine and NYGiantsCentral.
[YT]VnCZ7N_H5fE[/YT][YT]IKCvtoFqWOQ[/YT] Update: My friend NYGiantsCentral posted this comment on his channel.
NYGiantsCentral (3 hours ago) Spam Bad news, can not upload any videos from the redskins game All my redskins videos got copyrighted, sorry!
Nothing has still been put in for anything I've posted so for now pretty much everything is hidden on my channel. I'll keep the Giants game unlisted for now but it might be best to make them completely private in the near future. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
What I like most about Rex The Dragon so far are 1) his toughness and 2) his pocket presence. He "feels" the pressure on most plays and does a great job getting rid of the football and/or using his feet to extend the play. I believe if the line can gel and protect him consistently Rex will shred most defenses :)

Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
These videos are listed as private for me and wont start. Is there a way I can watch them? I am not really that familiar with youtube past click and play.
Thanks |

Thanks
I set them to private mainly because it seems that NFL Legal is looking for stuff to take down. As I alluded to before, similar videos on a similar channel of the same game were already taken down. I'm still trying to decide what to do but for now it seems best to quit while I'm ahead (ie before I get served with a DMCA notice and the videos are removed from YouTube permanently). Part of this is because the NFL is trying a new model on NFL.com with their media content. I'm guessing that videos like mine are considered a threat to people purchasing NFL Rewind and using NFL.com to watch highlights (if anyone hasn't noticed already the number of highlights available per game has risen drastically) which every 3 or 4 videos watched generates ad revenue. The only reason I've been able to make it this far is because I have such a small subscriber base and the number of views for a single video rarely gets over 5,000 (it took me 40+ videos to get 100,000 views for my channel). So long story short, don't know what I'm going to do with the channel in the long run but for now it seems best to lay low. |

There crappy pay services is nice and dandy, but are they going to edit films like this for customers that pull out just the pass/run/defense plays and put it on one vid? I highly doubt it. It's not like you are selling the crap or trying to make a buck off of it. |

Too bad he didn't bring anything else to the table other than shoving his praise of Grossman down our throats. |

And thanks for the effort to make em as well. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Man, legal issues sucks.. However you are making a smart move though. I'm definitely going to miss your highlights videos Dirtbag!

Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
It seems that the NFL cracks down even more with each passing year.

exactly. I wasnt even arguing with him because I didnt believe in Grossman as much as I couldnt stand his attitude and the lack of substance in his posts. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
The good news is the edit option should no longer be an issue lol.
|
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
damn.
|
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Well the good news is that I'm looking into other streaming sites that have laissez-faire copyright policieis. Bad news will be no more embedding.
|
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
why is it telling me that the videos are private?
|
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Make a clip of Bowen's fourth quarter sack and put it on repeat...
why is it telling me that the videos are private?
Short version? NFL is taking down similar content on YouTube so to protect the videos I'm setting them to private for the time being. Please see my previous post earlier in the thread for a more detailed explanation. On a side note I'm convinced that the person taking down videos at NFL Legal is a Cowboy fan. Lets look at the videos that have been taken down Vince Young video showcasing every 2010 play (Current Eagle): Video Removed Redskins vs Cowboys Miracle Finishes: Video Removed NYGiantsCentral play by play video of the Skins/Giants game (Two NFC East teams): Video's Removed. Conspiracy solved. |

Laissez-faire copyright policies? |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
I KNEW this would go....political..
|
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Laissez-faire copyright policies?
In short a site that could care less about getting anything from the likes of Viacom, NFL, UMG, etc. I thought Metacafe would be a good choice but it seems like the NFL actually uses them for their videos on NFL.com. Vimeo has a very small upload limit per week (500 mb, compared to each of my videos which are usually around 300 mb). Basically I am looking for the Cayman Islands of online video streaming. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
There's no such thing as lax copyright policies.
You know you make my job very difficult...but I turn a blind eye, there are many others who don't though |

You do realize the Rex has had tons of games lime that his entire career right? Just wait a few weeks and well see if you still feel the same way. Regardless, I do think you're crazy if you think grossman would make the probowl over brees, rodgers, Ryan, or Vick. Hell newton had a better game Sunday, is he going to the probowl for years to come, too? |
